Eiré v Andora A good 4 niller would be brilliant - 5 goals goal difference from the first two games would be a great turn around. We'll need goals in the campaign, Russia and the Slovaks are capable of scoring plenty of goals. Left back is proving to be a place that needs a fresh start. Short term, is Stephen Kelly in the squad, stick him in there for this game, to get a feel for LB in an international game. Fahy would do a job too and provide an attacking options - again in this game only.
Would love to see Seamus Coleman in the squad, be him a bitter or not, brings great attacking impotence to the table. Move O Shea to LB/CB and stick Coleman RB. Green was overrun in Midfield the other day but a run out v Andorra should be okay for him, or throw Fahey in to the middle and see what he's up to these days? Hope Robbie can sharpen up in front of goal, not playing games regular is going to have a bad effect on him/us I think.
Totally agree. I don't for the life of me know how he isn't in the squad regardless of injuiries or suspensions.
What a pitiful arguement lads. I was educated in a Gaelscoil is it acceptable for me to say Éire? Seens as its what I was brought up with? Does it matter. we all know what Bren meant
Fowler-p- how'd you get the capital E with the fada over it. My keyboard keeps bringing it back to lower case.
Coleman is over in Turkey with the U21's, playing tomorrow night.I'd agree he should be called up to the seniors but I don't think he's had much game time with the bitters this year so maybe that's why. I thought Stokes would have been promoted up because of Robbie's niggle but he's suspended. With Trap's ultra cautious approach, I'm not expecting a goalfest, two nil would be my guess. Six points job done hopefully.
Same team as Armenia game-SSN Also agree, think Seamus Coleman would be a good RB for us putting O Shea lb
years ago I scrawled Éire on me school desk and promplty got slagged by everyone because "only the English call us that" Anyway, I'll miss this match as I'm working but will be happy with (and expecting) 3 points. On a side note, why are the games Friday/ Tuesday instead of Saturday/Wednesday?
Its an agreement between international teams and clubs to get players back to the clubs sooner ahead of weekend matches.
Yeah well its a load of bollix really, cause saturday was one of the most boring days of my life, with no sport to watch. Had the internationals been on it'd of been a grand day on the couch. As it was I watched bloody farther of the bride for fook sake!
