I know there's a makey up thread but taught this to be more specific Asamoah Gyan has arrived at Sunderland for talks, Schalke sign Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from AC Milan, while Spurs are keen on Steven Pienaar.
Don't rate Asamoah Gyan at all to be honest anytime ive seen him at international level he looks decent but playing in France he looked very average .
I haven't seen that much of him Rocco in all honesty just what I seen from the WC. And this is where these players come to prominence but we all know how that works out (Diouf & Diao) now don't we!!
I hate that sky transfer clockwatch thing: Birmingham have agreed a deal for a player who starred at this summer's World Cup finals, more on this shortly. why not just say who it is ???
I'd say because they can't get through the gate to see who is going in there Mark, they at SSN do 60% guess work 40% knowledgable sources.
By that then for all they know it could be anyone no?? gets on me nerves just wait till you know who it is then announce it
Birmingham City have agreed a deal with Club America for Chilean star Jean Beausejour, skysports.com can confirm.
seen somewhere this morning that he is on his way to stoke here:Skysports.com understands that Stoke City could move for want-away Wigan Athletic winger Charles N'Zogbia. Stay tuned for more on this story
Besiktas make shock Keane bid But Turks likely to be foiled in race against transfer deadline Skysports.com understands that Besiktas have launched a surprise bid to sign out-of-favour Tottenham striker Robbie Keane on a season-long loan. The Turkish club would be able to offer the Republic of Ireland captain the first-team football that he craves but has found in short supply at Spurs since returning from his failed time at Liverpool. Harry Redknapp, who re-signed Keane in February 2009, has preferred to use Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko, and letting fringe players leave would make room in his 25-man Premier League squad for other options. Republic of Ireland captain Keane was loaned to Celtic for the second half of last season and he has been repeatedly linked with another temporary move away from White Hart Lane. Keane is a target of West Ham manager Avram Grant, who knows Redknapp from their time together at Portsmouth, and it is thought that Spurs could offer the forward as bait in their last-ditch attempts to land midfielder Scott Parker. Besiktas, though, have hopes to scupper any deal, if it materialises, as they are understood to be eager to take 30-year-old to Istanbul. The Turkish club are known to be seeking attacking reinforcements and were showing interest in Manchester City forward Robinho.
Does make sense if Roy is determined to get Cole in this looks to be the option both clubs will wait for!!
Seen this on TIA ... Very reliable and leading source - sports wise, from Croatia. I'll translate: Sensation in the end of the transfer deadline - Liverpool has sent an offer for Mladen Petric! The English club unconditionally wants him. If Hamburger won't be willing to sell his contract, then the English will try to persuade the Germans to let him go on loan. Croatia national team player and the member of Hamburger SV, Mladen Petric is in the last few days a often subject of leaving to another place despite being tied up with a strong contract with the German club. Wolfsburg first wanted him, then the Italian Juventus, Hoffenfeim also made calls, but the newest and most concrete offer came yesterday, a day before the last day of the transfer market. However, from our reliable sources we can tell that the cult English club Liverpool has send a concrete offer for the Croatia national team player, and judging for now, it will be hard for for Hamburger SV to keep him. http://sportske.jutarnji.hr/senzacij...trica-/882299/ Just to make it clear to everyone. He's a natural striker, but being played mostly as a second striker or on both wings if necessairy. He wants to move out of HSV because he's being played on the right wing there lately, a position he doesn't prefers and would like to move if he can find a new interesting club, especially since he formed a very good partnership with Van Nistelrooy in the second part of last season (remember his goal against Fulham at Craven Cottage in the EL?) and lately. Ruud said many times that he prefers playing with Mladen just behind him, but the manager Veh doesn't seem to think so. He's 29 years old, technically very underrated and a good, cold finisher, his best position is as a second striker, he can play with both feet, score from free kicks and bring people into play, make assists outside the box. He's not so physically strong and I wonder about his stamina levels needed especially in England, but he's a real fighter and a team player - even saved a few penalty kicks at first team level, but mentally a really good lad, quiet and intelligent. Never heard of him ...
great at club level .... done him e.w in the world cup but then i checked his stats and read he is terrible at international level ....
Ill hold my hands up on that one Rocco..I spotted him first for the world cup. and of course i raved about him, and at club level he was class, but at international level ,he is a sub most of the time, as he is behind Nelson Valdez and Barrioes for Paraguay, and Sal Cabanas..
Juventus have confirmed release of Jonathan Zebina while it is suggested Armand Traore has sealed a loan move to the club. Big move for Traore there i think..He is still only 20, so i am kind of suprised at Wenger letting him go..He has used him quiet abit too, and i always thought he was decent enough..
