I wouldn't agree Rocco, would like to see the younger lads get every opportunity in this competition. Would play Cole as I'd say even if we appeal the red card the appeal won't be successful. But I wouldn't play Reina, Gerrard, Carra, Johnson. Might be a good one for Torres just from getting fitness. Young lads and fitness for the big players who need it.
    Focus on the league.

Would be happy enough to see Kelly and Pacheco start .. but feel once we enter a competition we should be in it to win it.

Turkey away will be a hard test .. need imo at least a 2-0 home win....

In that side there is 4 changes since Sunday .

Please not two holding midfielders at Anfield.

I pray to God almighty if he's out there.:p

Lucas aint a holding midfielder. Give the lad license to get forward and he'll shine.

    Cav
    Johnson Kyriagkos Wilson Kelly
    Lucas Aqualani
    Maxi Cole Babel

Big game against Citeh on Monday! Think there would be enough about this team to beat the Turks and plenty of chance for a few people to catch Roys eye!

    OK, maybe. Maybe not.

I'd play Lucas so and Aquaman or Gerrard. Although by right I'd put Gerrard on the bench.

But we're at Anfield, it's the early stages of the second tier European competition. Let's get scoring goals.

I would only play Lucas/Poulsen or Masch as the central midfield away in difficult games or in Europe where a draw will do or when we have 10 men !!!

I agree 100%. Always said play the younger and fringe players in this competition. There's one objective. CHAMPS LEAUGE .... at all costs

    I'd like to see

    Cavelieri

    Kelly Carragher Skrtel Aurelio

    Maxi Lucas Poulsen Babel

    Cole

    Ngog

Hopefully a strong performance and good result ahead of a tough game on Monday.Hopefully Torres can get 30 mins of action too.

I said for the last round and I still wouldn't be too dissapointed if we didn't get through. A good run in this could really have an impact on our league season so I hope he uses it to give game time to fringe players and the young lads. I have a feeling we'll see a pretty strong line up on Thursday with some players still looking for full fitness.
