Of course Id love to see another defender or winger come in but I think that could be it for us .. and if Im honest, Im happy with the players who have come in so far, considering a few months ago, I thought we'd sign nobody.

If Masch goes at the end of the transfer window which looks increasingly likely now, as this is going to drag on for ever, i think that could be us down until Jan maybe..

I think if thats the case, roy might think we already have enough options up top, with Torres, Ngog,Babel,Kuyt, so he might be happy with that..

But id like another Striker, preferably some one with premier league experience, and then another left back, again some one with abit of premier league experience...

looking at that 25 man squad entered for the uefa cup we prob need to shift a player or two before we buy, quite a big squad we have

striker needs to be our priorty like the idea of bojan even on a loan is a top notch idea not a calss player but can get a job done.... but lookin at the players roy is goin for and even the players we are linked wit it seems to be english proven players which has me prayin tat we dont go next nigh or near carlton cole a rather poor verson of heskey would love to see a tall ball winner ala crouchie as has to be said our winning percentage of headers is shockin

As I said in another thread last night,last season we were crying out for a new left back and a quality back up for Torres.As shrewd a signing as Joe Cole,Jova,Wilson etc. have been,none of them have really solved our main problems from last year which is worrying 50 odd hours away from the start of our season.If it stays that way,then a lot of our success this season depends on the fitness of Torres and Aurelio (Risky) and the ability of Kelly/Insua and N'Gog to settle and perform consistently (Also risky).


I expect Cavalieri,Masch and Insua to be sold with Jones,Poulsen and maybe Figueroa being like for like replacements.I wouldn't be surprised to see Crouch back either.A lot depends how soon the Masch deal is done and how much of the money Roy see's.We also need to get rid of Itandje,Plessis,El Zhar.If we can't get a fee then release cos it's a total waste of wages having them hanging about the club aimlessly.Sell Nemeth with a buy back clause.
