This is just a theory but...
When Roy arrived he said he wouldn't actively go after anyone from his former squad. However, i reckon he has said to fulham that should an acceptable offer for a player come in from another club to give him first refusal? That way he isn't muscling in on Fulham and the players are still available to him. We have been linked to both Hangeland and Konchesky in recent weeks. I reckon now that we have Wilson the Hangeland speculation will die down but i'd love to have him at liverpool at some point. I also think Konchesky would be a better option than Bridge. I read somewhere on here that Bridge's cross conversion rate from last season was terrible. Both would be solid and welcomed however.
    Thoughts?

I hope im not breaking any rules starting a new thread...apologies if i have.

Bloody Cork lads, always breaking the rules, law unto themselves they are! ;)
I was a fan of Konchesky around 06 when he fluked that goal in the cup final. Seems to have gone backwards since then. Would prefer him to Bridge tho as he has far more pace. Duffs best days are well gone too and he's better off getting a regular game at the Cottage. Only 1 I would really take is Clint Dempsey and he wouldn't even get in my first 11. Makes you realise all the more how well Roy did with them

Im not having a go Dexter, but seriously!? WTF!?

You're speculating about something you've made up in your head, despite Hodgson saying he wouldnt sign players from Fulham generally. It really is pointles...imo

Id say Fulham just didn't want Roy tapping up their players on the QT and trying to get them on the cheap by unsettling them and them wanting to leave , which would lower their valuation ..... nothing will stop us going for a player through the correct channels and id say that is the agreement.

Cant see anything to do with a acceptable offer coming in from another club and then us matching it.

If we got him at the right price, I'd love to see Danny Murphy back in our squad ... appreciate he might not play every game, due to competition but...

for his goals against the Mancs over the years, along with what I believe is a true love for LFC, he could be an asset to us.

I would be behind this 100%. A Gary Mac style signing, and could play the more creative holding role in games where teams put 10 men behind the ball against us. Great squad player and presence to have about the club.

Dempsey, Zamorra and Hangeland would also enhance our squad but when everyone is fit I don't think I would have any of them in my first 11. Stay away from Duff and Konchesky thanks Roy.
