Apologies if it's been mentioned before but couldn’t find it, could be usefull player to try pick up? Probably get him on a free, good player with good record. At the end of his career but if money is as tight as we think then he could be decent back up to torres.

I know we signed jovanovic but he's more of a left sided attacker rather than an out and out striker so if torres misses a few games which he will then we need someone to play up top on their own, not sure if that's your man remy's style either

Would love to see Klose at Anfield. 1 of my favourite players, great header of the ball, none better than him. His movement and eye for the game is brilliant. There was talk of him leaving Bayern for Rubin Kazan but they bought Obafemi Martins last week so maybe that wont happen now.

He'd certainly strengthen the squad if anything. Reminds me of morientes. Great positional sense & excellant in the air. I'd rather we looked at filling in the left back position with a top quality full back or a player who can cover should Hodgson decide on giving Darby & Kelly the chance.

But Klose would be a nice asset to the squad no doubt.

Didn't he have an atrocious season last year? Think he only picked up two goals

That was mainly due to the fact Van Gaal preferred Gomez to Klose and he barely started any games. But as seen at the world cup with the right manager he would flourish.Id have him in the squad in a heartbeat + id say he would jump at the chance.

Klose would definitely be a useful addition, always a threat and has a super attitude.

He seems very settled in Germany though and i doubt he would leave his homeland.

Just look at what he did in South Africa though playing with a manager who believes in him. Were he to come here, I'd say he'll flourish under Hodgson's guidance.

Dont think it was just the manager mate - the players had something to do with it too :)

Id take him on a free - but thats all. Good Cup player, not so hot in the German league last season which isnt a million miles off the premiership.

agreed. seems very settled in the land of chocolate.

if you could get him on free or for nominal amount though he'd be good squad player whose attitude could rub off on younger lads

Me too, and I was delighted when we got Morientes but we got him two years too late and it didn't work. I think it would be the same with Klose.

Don't think he'd be a great signing. Great for his country and in a one month competition but hasn't played well enough over a 38 game season in a weaker league to show he'd bang in the goals at the premiership level. Maybe if he was younger!

Has Hodgson actually mentioned Klose or are we just speculating speculatively amongst ourselves here?
