Agree. With no cash to spend, he'd be a good signing.
I hope he's dealt with the "demons" in his personal life, I think they were the root of his problems more than anything else.
Always felt he had something special to offer, if given more of a chance & I don't just mean the unusual haircuts !

Well I know I would rather see him starting upfront that NGog if we had to go 2 upfront and with Torres injuries problems never ending Cisse would be a good signing. we have to many players at the club who couldn't care less and are just after money.

he is a professional footballer who had to have the offside rule explained on the training ground,i know money is tight but my 4 year old has a tidy shot on him.Season ticket and Roy can have him

We dont have much money so what who else would we get that would be comparable to Cisse
Wierdo alright but who cares.

Better then all fit options currently at the club. With Nando probably going to play around 30 games again, he'd be a good signing.
How many goals was it he scored from out wide in his last season? Around 18 or so i believe.

Come on folks do me a favour! I loved the fact that he was so enthuisiastic for the club but wasn't too pleased with what we got for £12m. He was a poor finisher and quite simply not good enough at our level. no thanks, do me a favour!

With the exception of Torres, Cisse is better than all of the other forwards we have, Kuyt, Babbel, Ngogg, etc. At least he has some passion for the club unlike a lot of our current players. Would like to see David Villa at the club but that aint gonna happen, so if the best we can do is Cisse, so be it. But he is French!!!

Say what you want about Cisse:
is he shite, no.
is he a world beater no.
However, next season more than ever we need 11 players on the pitch every week that WANT to play for our club. That are willing to bust their balls to win us games and if that means Djib comes back and gives us 110% every week then that's good enough for me.
When alot of our players are either non-committed or talking about joining other clubs it's a refreshing change to hear a player saying he wants to play for LFC.

That's it in a nutshell. All i hear is he's not good enough, so and so is not good enough. Whenever the players in question are better then what we have.
People need to wake up. We are not going to be signing any world class players any time soon.

Agree with all of that, except the comment on Kuyt - look at the goals he has scored for us since we bought him, in addition to the work rate, he's probably one of the best value signings we've had in the past 7 years mate.... remember, he only cost (I think, from memory) £12m after all.
I think some people on this thread need to remember, we have no funds and are getting raped by the Yanks, so any money coming into the club is going either directly into their pockets, or to RBS to keep the club in the hands of the Yanks ... either way, it ain't going to pay for a "top tier" striker, so we need to be realistic here, as long as we're under current ownership I regret to say.

I think he should come back as he seems to have a love for LFC and right now we need players who want to be here as there is no money what so ever . I think his and nandos speed would absoulutely destroy alot of teams

I didn't think he was great. Relied too much on beating offside trap with his pace and he wasn't very good at that.
However we can't afford anyone of a higher standard so I wouldn't complain if he returned.

Whatever he had when he was with us,(which was fairly average) he certainly doesn't have anymore. He was poor for the mackems and even with his apparant love for the club I think time has passed for him at lfc.
I know we're fcuked for cash so maybe if he's free and it was a pay as you play deal for ten grand a game or something, well then fair enough, otherwise I can't see it working out for him.

cisse is a headless chicken
I've heard him called worse mate (particularly based on a couple of his former haircuts) ;) :D
IMHO, the key questions here are:
A) Is he up for it - Yes
B) Would he cost the club much, if anything, to sign up - doubt it (not sure :))
C) Would he get us more goals than some of our other strikers - I reckon yes. We need 4-5 strikers in our squad in my view, so given lack of cash to buy "top notch" I'd give him a season, with a view to longer if it worked out.
id take him back in a second he had a great season last year and done well at sunderland before then and just for scoring a peno in istanbull id take him back for that alone

cisse was never my flavour of the month coz of his lack of understanding of the basic rule of offside and the numerous chances he missed. but he does seem to love liverpool and if he was cheap or on a free he'd be worht a punt. i think he scored over 20 goals for us one season and was injured for some of that and playing outta position. i think he's the kinda player you 'have to live with'. if he played 38 league games i reckon he'd hit 20 goals...but would probably miss 80 in the process. rafa couldnt live with that, some managers could (ala fergie with andy cole, and even drogba at teh chavs misses buckets of chances...and i'm not saying he's in their league). and since we have zero (and i mean zero) pace anywhere in the team if nando's injured he wouldnt be a bad choice...just not my first. better than ngog or babel and would prob outscore kuyt too

I couldn't agree more. He used to drive me demented with his poor shot selection however who can forget his volley in the 2006 FA Cup Final............

Amazing what the passing of time does to the memory. Unless he's free, leave him where he is. It's not going to happen anyway and I don't think anyone truly believes that this is in any way a runner

Cisse had his chance, and wasn't very good.
Got the odd important goal here and there, but too inconsistent with his finishing.
Better options elsewhere me thinks.

Maybe better opinions out there but at moment if you look at our strikers he would a good signing. Simply I would rather have Cisse come on if we needed a goal rather than NGog

Both are as good/bad as each other in my opinion.
The only difference is N'gog is still learning his trade.

i have to say with lack of options up front i would love if kenny went after cisse for a loan deal to the end of the season, has passion for liverpool, another option, rated well by current squad players,i know ill get slated for saying it but i would love to see him back i know hes not prolific but he is determined and he would thrive under the chance to come back and plus i dont think hes much of a gamble

Wouldn't mind him coming in for a bit of cover but only til the end of the season. We have enough average players like him as it is.

OK, "average at best, think his speed along with Nando's would cause problems to some defences" someone said earlier and I agree. The one thing he has that were missing now is he was so proud to pull on the Red jersey of our beloved club !!! Always respected him for that. Give him a shot I say.....what have we got to lose ?

Always reminded me of a certain Milan Baros...head down and chaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge...until he either ran out of pitch or shot from impossible position.
Having said that, still reckon hes better than Ngog and Mr.Twitter, and you could never doubt the lad's commitment.
As someone said in another thread about Warnock, rather see us signing a nailed on, going to be here for 5 years banging em in striker than another stop gap till the end of the season.

We're not going to get all the players we need in this window or maybe even the next one. It's going to be gradual so I've no problems with a couple of stop gap players but personally I wouldn't go near cisse. He probably has the least football intelligence of any striker we've had in a long time. His movement is abysmal for a front man. Shocking touch too. I don't doubt his commitment and he has raw pace but As someone already said he gives you nothing babel can't.
