Sounds like a fire sale is starting Google translation : According to a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lecce would be trying to make a deal with Liverpool to secure the attacker Hungarian Kriztian Nemeth, going to offer 1.2 million euros to the English club for half the Hungarian player . http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/?action=read&id=218066 Hungarian international striker Krisztián Németh (21) might be about to leave Liverpool, in order to join Lecce, who offered 1.2 million euros in order to purchase half his ownership. http://www.footballpress.net/index.php?action=read&idsel=64692
Unless they are planning to ask for him on loan and we pay half his wages they pay the other half ????
from wat i seen of him i thought he was a good player.. guess he couldn't cut it.. cut luck 2 him wherever he goes!!
How does someone who failed to break into the 1st team being sold, sound anything like a fire sale? He's spent a lot of the last two seasons injured. There is better prospects in the ressies then him.
Made abit of a impression last season at the start of the season in Greece and then he went and got injuried and couldnt force his way back into the squad... Would be interesting to see how he got on, say on loan at west brom or Blackpool..
Totally agree but after watching DLV last season after stepping up to the reserves he couldn't hit a barn door last season. Needs to add a lot more to his game than just a finisher.
This was posted yesterday on TIA .. before squad announced http://twitter.com/neiljjones/status/18448305288 Krisztián Németh will not be joining LFC's squad for trip to Switzerland. Meeting with agent + club tomorrow, expect news on that front.
Heard theres a mass cull underway at the club.Could be at least another dozen players on the books moving on.
Maybe this is a good thing I would not be too disapointed to see Insua, Nemeth, Lucas, Reira , Plessis, Spearing , Degen and Cavaleiri go it would A) Give us more transfer funds ( if cecil is to be believed ) B) Make us look more attractive to buyers ( if money goes to pay off debt )
I would hate to see Insua sold tbh the lad is young and has potential and could flourish under a Good Manager.
Nememth seems to be attracting interesst Hannover manager Mirko Slomka has admitted that he is an admirer of Liverpool striker Krisztian Nemeth amid reports linking the Bundesliga club with the Hungary international. The 21-year-old has yet to force a regular place in the first team at Anfield since arriving in 2007 and he spent time on loan with Blackpool and AEK Athens between 2009 and 2010. Rafa Benitez's departure and the arrival of Roy Hodgson as manager has led to further suggestions that Nemeth does not have a future on Merseyside beyond this summer. As a result, speculation has implied that Italian side Lecce have bid £1million for the forward and Hannover are also being linked, with Slomka admitting a previous interest but confessing that he does not know if the player is for sale. Affordable Slomka told Bild: "He is a good player with decent speed and he has been on loan at AEK Athens recently. "He did not play many matches in recent campaigns and I am not aware if he is affordable." But Hannover general manager Jorg Schmadtke said: "I am not aware of that player." Nemeth's agent, Tibor Pataly, claims there is a lot of interest in his client and that he is looking for regular playing time. "There are several interested clubs," Pataly said. "Some from Italy, Spain, Greece and even from the Bundesliga. We are looking for a club who will give him first-team experience."

Shame really. One of the very few reserve players I let myself get my hopes up about. An absolute predator in and around the box but probably didn't have the speed and height for the premier league.Injuries definitely took their toll too.I just hope we've had the common sense to put a buy back clause in his contract but somehow I doubt it
