Watched it in the 90s however nowadays its whoever is on the best gear. That might be unfair to most of the people in it, but thats the perception. The likes of Usain Bolt has restored sprinters back to where they were before the drug scandals, however if he ever got caught out, it would be dead, much like the Tour De France.
i was only wondering yesterday when it was going to start. i wouldn't be into cycling but last year i watched a good bit of it and was looking forward to it starting again this year.
I had a bet on him in the giro de italia 25/1 he never got into the giro after he won the first stage
The tour is not how it once was...with all the drug scandals over the last few years,it has lost a lot of fans...and also respect. It needs to be seen to be clean for a good few years..before it will gain some of its credibility back, imo. But i love the mountain stages, they are a great spectacle..so ill take a peep at those.
I was in Spa for the end of the stage today. Interesting day with Chavanel coming in nearly 4 mins ahead of the rest. I missed the main crash and only found out when I got home that the sprint at the finish was cancelled after it to get everyone over the line. Tomorrow will be good. Let's hope it lashes!
yea chavanel also took the green jersey because they didnt give out points for intermidate finishing as everyone crossed the line together Btw there is Cancellara could get in trouble for holding everyone back.
Cancellara takes yellow again Frank shleck is done. Andy has himself back up there. Wiggins was good today Cavandish not his year. and A big congrats to Nicholas Roche what a Ride he gave today came in with the chase group 53" down
