He who knows all, Guillem Ballague, revealed on SS tonight that Barca are likely to unveil David Villa in the next few days and more than likely Cesc after that. Villa is a done deal apparently but Cesc still has to discuss certain issues with Wenger. Good news for Liverpool in that Barca won't pursue Nando if they have Villa and I'd they get Cesc then there would be no room/cash for Mash! That's not to say that Real won't make a bid for mash but at least it's one less suitor for him. Maybe if we all clubbed together and got his missus a few Rosetta Stone tapes he'd stay put!

Only one defeat in the league and only 24 goals conceded.

Villa though is three times the player that clown Zlatan is and Cesc is a lot better than Biscuits or Kieta. I can see Masherano leaving, you could not really blame him if he has the chance to go to Barca and play in that team.

    Masherano
    Fabregas Xavi

    Messi Villa Iniesta

Scary although everyone thought when Chelski signed Ballack and Shevo that would be unbeatable

Arsene wasn't far wrong when he said La liga is like the SPL with better weather. Nearly 30 points between top 2 and 3rd. Ibrahimovic being touted around England as well according to Guillem. Hopefully the mancs will swap him for berbatov

I'd take everything Guillem Bollix says with a pinch of salt usually but I do think Barca will or already have signed David Villa. Great news for us in that neither the mancs or Chelsea will get him. I hope it goes well for him if he does sign he's a good lad. He showed great loyalty to Valencia over the years.
Hard to know if Fibre Glass will go this summer but will probably sign for them eventually

Having that team at your club would be more than enough to put you on a semi!!!

Agreed it might mean Masch might stay (can't see it meself) but if the status quo (not the band) stays, we should be more wary of who blackburn, west ham and stoke have their eye on because thats the level we'll be on.

Don't think we're gone that bad but we may end up looking at good free players, the likes of Maxi might be the route we have to take when looking for players.

Barcelona vice-president Rafael Yuste has revealed they are close to signing David Villa and remain hopeful of landing Cesc Fabregas.

Newly-crowned Primera Liga champions Barca are keen on signing Valencia ace Villa and Arsenal schemer Fabregas as they look to strengthen their squad for next season.

A move for Villa has been mooted for some time with Valencia resigned to losing their star striker due to their financial problems.

Fabregas has been continually linked with a return to Barcelona with the midfielder admitting his desire to rejoin his former club at some point in the future.

Yuste admits the two deals are at different stages with Villa close to making the move to Camp Nou, but Arsenal are expected to fight hard to keep hold of Fabregas.

"Negotiations are progressing well especially in the case of Villa," Yuste told Catalonian radio station Ona FM.

"The situation with Cesc is different because even if you have the will of the player it is very important to talk to his club and, if you can, find an agreement.

"But what makes it easier is that both players want to come to Barca."

Fabregas revealed last week that he wants his future sorted before he goes to the World Cup with Barca hoping they can tempt Arsenal into a deal for the midfielder.

It has been suggested Yaya Toure could be used as a makeweight in a deal to

take Fabregas to Camp Nou and the Ivorian's agent Dimitri Seluk admitted his client is not happy at his bit-part role under Pep Guardiola.

"Toure wants to play every game," said Seluk. "It is likely that Toure will not remain at Barcelona.

"He is happy there, it is a great club but he does not want to spend his time on the bench."

He added, however: "There is a one in a thousand chance that Toure will be involved in the move for Cesc with Arsenal."

Just read on Eurosport that Torres has been linked with Barca too! That would be the one club that I actually think Torres might leave us for, don't think he'd really ever consider Chelsea or City but Barca could be too much for him to resist!

Surprised if Barca have the cash for Torres they usually only buy one big singing and work with their own youth players coming through and they already have David Villa to pay for and after Cesc from arsenal .

Cant see them landing both - they would have to chew the fat to get the cash and lets be honest - Barca, much to my shock, were the only club that rated Ibrahimovic at that price! Mind you, turns out he was brough in to keep Pique happy ;)

Something tells me Guardiola had little to do with that signing and the club bought him. That's the worst transfer in history IMO (from Barca's point of view)
I wonder where he'll end up. Maybe at Real Madrid if Jose goes there
