The hype around him is justified and he's got every right to be cocky imo. To me it shows that he believes in himself.
that putt on the last was unreal - it was almost like destiny. smashed the course record with a 62. barely made the cut and hit 17 birdies and an eagle the commentators said the last two rounds....thats 'Roy of the Rovers' stuff golf-style. and not even 21
i know little about golf, but just looking at his graph earlier on betfair...and he hit 1000/1 in running.he must have played incredible golf.
He played brilliant last night and all the hype is well deserved because he imo he's the best young golfer around Happy 21st birthday for tomorrow Rory who shares his birthday with my youngest who is 1
what a brilliant performance... I dont think he is cocky, he is confident ill give him that, but so he should be, he is a wonderful golfer. remember he hit the course record of 61 at Portrush when he was only 16. So he has been great for a while. He was also very down on himself for the passed few months, so that shows he knows he has his faults etc. But he is normally humble anytime he talks, and with everyone hyping him up, its not easy to keep ones feet on the ground. Anyway, every pro or person that seems knows him says he is a really nice person. I seen him myself at Lough Erne last year playing Padraig, and both of them were fun and relaxed towards everyone there. Paddy had one wicked tan that day though!
