This game cant come quick enough hot on the heels of one of our best performances of the season on Thursday night.

I think we've almost got a clean bill of health, with the exception of Aurelio to choose from.

Torres has looked jaded the last few games, particularly in the last game v Benfica, but I dont think Rafa is gonna give our star striker a rest at this stage of the season, but I can see a few changes from Thursday night.

Maxi & Babel could get a run out, and we may also see the return of Insua in this, although I would like to see Agger get another run at lb.
As well as Lucas played the other night, I'd prefer Aquilani to start, dependant on his mental state of course!
It would make the line-up more adventurous going forward against a Fulham team who are in fine European form, but I think they may rest several players as they're safe in the league, and have made the EC their priority for the remainder of the season.

    Team I'd like to see...

    Reina

    Johnson ... Carra ... Kyrgiakos ... Agger

    Maxi ... Mascherano ... Aquilani ... Babel

    .... Gerrard

    Torres ....

    Team we might see....

    Reina

    Johnson ... Carra ... Agger ... Insua

    Maxi ... Lucas ... Mascherano ... Yossi

    .... Gerrard

    Torres ....

In all fairness, both teams or slight variations of them should have enough to get the job done this weekend. But I'd like to see an attacking line-up.
3 points is essential to keep in touch in case of any slip-ups.

Doubt it to be honest. Didn't we play Wigan on a Monday night then Lille away on the Thursday?

Not too sure about Torres for this one, he was limping pretty heavily last night and just looks wrecked (mind their keeper will probably argue with me on that)! He really won't want to get himself injured with the games against Athletico coming up but we really do need him leading the line.

Fulham are a very tidy team but I think they've very much made Europe their priority and rightly so! Get Maxi, Babel, Stevie And Aqua with Torres (if fit) or Ngog leading the line!

hopefully fulham rest a few players and we beat them convincingly. a caller on TIA last night is convinced ourselves and city will finish on 68 points and it will be decided by goal difference

You're assuming Rafa wont do the same, I can see both Rafa and Hodgson seeing this more as a dress rehersal for the Europa Cup final than a league game so Id expect a few surprises on the team sheet.

Don't think so, sure Benfica played a League match on Monday past as well.

I reckon Fulham will rest a lot of players for this one since the League is of no great concern to them now. We have the advantage of not having played away on Thursday night and should win this one.

Play our best team and win the game first, then think about resting players. As said already we can rest for 8 days until our next game after that.

Mate I'm all for players switching roles during the game but its asking a lot of Maxi to line up at right wing and centre mid :D:D

Completely agree with your team if you were to swap Maxi(2) with Aquaman!!

    :eek::eek:

Meant Mach! Would prefer Mach because can leave Stevie with more freedom to attack and Mach to concentrate on defending
