    Good man Elnino.

Going to be a tough, tough game. They are undefeated at home against top 6 sides with just us to play.

Would like to see something like this

    Reina
    Magic Carra Agger Insua
    Gerrard Masch
    Maxi Benny Babel
    Torres

    However will expect this

    Reina
    Magic Carra Agger Insua
    Lucas Masch
    Kuyt Gerrard Maxi
    Torres

We need to give them a good thumping and put them down to where they belong, they seem to think that they can do us according to reports here in Liverpool.

This is going to be one of the hardest games we have left this season..Birmingham are a decent side and are going to be very hard to break down, espeically if he plays 5 across midfield like he done against arsenal..But hopfully we can nick a 1-0 even..As long as its 3 points i dont mind, but i can see it been 3 points that will have to be earned and worked for..

From a punting angle Liverpool are the must lay of the weekend i'm afraid.

9/10 us to win this just wrong we should be 6/4.

Woeful away record in the league all season coupled by the fact we dont score many on our travels and a gruelling European game 72 hours previous makes it a massive ask to any team in the league never mind a team like Birmingham who have a fantastic home record.

We win this i reckon it will take one of our perfomances of the season.

Have to agree with all of this.

Would prefer to see gerrard back in the middle for this game, with Babel playing beside/behind Torres. Pace up front can trouble brum, and we have it in abundance with those 2.

Its gonna be a really rough ride 2moro folks, and as Rover said, it'll take one of our best performances of the season.

This is going to be an extremely tough game tomorrow.

The players had an away game on Thursday and played two-thirds of it with 10 men so are going to be fairly b0ll0xed.

Birmingham unbeaten at home against the Top 5 and no game since last week.

Anyone watch them against Arsenal, they didn't give the Arsenal players a second on the ball and will certainly do the same here.

Maxi will come back in I'm sure and be interesting to see if Rafa tells Babel to go out and make up for his sending off or has him on the bench.

A win would be a great result, a draw would also be a very good result from the point of view that Birmingham are a good side but not from the point of view that we ideally need the 3 points to get fourth.

    Come on Redmen

Very true. Maybe a bit of help today elsewhere could shake some tiredness from the legs.

Not looking forward to this match at all tbh. Brum are a very well drilled team that get in your face from the off. We need to move the ball around quickly in this game, so no Lucas imo. If we can stay solid at the back and Torres has his shooting boots on again we'll get a 1-0.

Only problem I have is that Brum get overly aggresive at times and I can see Nando going off injured in this.

Here's hoping for a 1-0 win with a Torres goal.

After todays results so far, we need no extra motivation.
Rafa to be bold, and go at Brum from the start will do

After playing with 10 men i would go with .....

    Reina
    Glen Carra Agger Insua
    Gerrard Masch
    Maxi Yossi Babel
    Torres

Maybe with Insua out on Thursday have a look at Agger at left back ......

    Reina
    Glen Carra Kyrgiakos Agger
    Gerrard Masch
    Maxi Yossi Babel
    Torres

I would not consider playing Agger at left back and instead would throw Carra in at left back. He will offer us nothing going forward but can play there as he has before. The Greek and Agger can play in the middle.

We can't afford to try and keep it tight hoping to sneak a 1-0 as we have been unable to play like that this season. I think we need to go hell for leather from the off. I think Mascherano and Gerrard should play through the middle. Yossi to play in behind Torres and Maxi and babel on the flanks.

We just can't afford to drop points tomorrow.

Don't see Cara doing a job on the left as struggles on the right .. maybe Glen at left back and Cara at right back ...... but imo Agger would be a top draw left back ... and Cara best in the middle ...

Agger has the left foot so may well do a job but Carra played at left back for Liverpool on many occasions before and is quite capable. I think the Greek and Agger will manage Brum okay. Whatever way you look at it is it is not ideal.

More than likely it will be Insua .... but something will have to change for Thursday night but that's Thursday ....

Im sure Glen played a couple of pre season games at left back and was as good as on the right ...

Maybe Agger more suited on the left of a back 3 ... don't think he has ever played left back for us .... but i reckon he would be better than anything we have at present ....

Ya dis is gona be tough,if we could take the points here it wud reallyput us back in it ,wud love to see us wit the same attitude as the sunderland game but me thinks it wil be a dogged scrapy affair, not for the faint hearted.i think we,ll do it though,we look to have a bit more cutting edge to us in attack lately and maybe that scrappy game midweek my work in our favour this time round
