Fcuk sake if any of us didn't pay back the credit union a few hundred euro we would be locked up for sure. If this was any other country there would be riots on the streets and rightfully so.

As serpheus suggested,. I hate the way there are different standards,. as, if I didn't pay my loan back id be done,. Or if i went to the bookies and wasted all my money, the tax payer wouldn't give me a few pound to sort me out, its ridiculous, and its making a mockery of our country more so, and our government is proving to be a bigger bunch of fools than initially thought,.

I think the Anglo Irish boys should have employed "The Yanks" to manage their finances!

Yeah and at least that way they would have stiffled off a few quid for their own pockets too, so the money wouldn't have just disappeared,.

€155m of loans to former directors, unbelievable. How could the regulator let them away with this and how do these boys have a pot to pi$s in if they are unable to repay the loans? It'll be interesting to see if anything comes of the case against Fitzpatrick.

It'll be the nail in the coffin of this government if nothing is done about this, if it's not there already.

I seriuosly doubt it. If the (so-called) opposition had any balls they would have buried this (so-called) government months ago. They don't want to be in power because it'll be up to them to clean up the mess. They'd rather sit on the other side of the house and throw insults than actually try and do anything worthwhile. It's not just the banking system in this country that needs overhauling its the political system too. I heard something on the radio a few weeks ago that we have the same amount or more members of parliament as Germany, a country of 80 million!

If these sh*ts don't get jail, then there should be a revolution. They are the major players in bringing our country to its knees. one law for them and another for the rest of us.

I thought I heard something on the radio today about Fitzpatrick taking off abroad somewhere on an Aer Lingus flight (where he gets free air travel for being on the board) though I only caught the tail end of it.

This man should be locked up, him and his cohorts have financially bankrupt the country for a generation while they continue to enjoy the fruits of their recklessness. If this was in the US they would be locked up already but these fellows aligned themselves to the political establishment and got away with it.

Meanwhile David Drumm , another cowboy banker is living it up in the US away from the media glare. He raped his own people, helped create untold misery for thousands and fled our shores. Absolute disgrace and there is something seriously wrong with a legal system that has not brought these people to justice to date.

Throw the former Regulator into that list also mate ... he's failed in his duties, just as much (if not more, given he was our independent watchman) as the two above !

    As they say
If you owe a €1000 then it's your problem, if you owe a million then it's their problem.
Regulator and the govt knew what was going on and that includes all the opposition parties.

I'm fcuking sick to my back teeth! of this shi te, this was the government of this country helping out their mates and although they say it has to be done, what about saving all the companies and Jobs that are still being lost in this country every day??? Unemployment up again.

You can bet your fcuking house that very few if any, will be made Accountablefor any of this,it will be let run out of steam like everything else in this country. Any other country people would be up in arms! Irish people just don't know how to react to something that evidently will have a major factor on generations to come, and these cnuts are let away with it! Just fcuking sickening:mad::mad:

And the most sickening thing about it after handing out €4000 per person in this country and these bastrads then have the balls to up interest rates and at least another 1%increase over next few weeks months!! It shows how little respect they have for us as people and as a nation and its disgusting!

Like someone said on radio this evening, if the governmet gave every person in the country €4,000 each it would make it into the bankls and this would have sorted there deficit out and would of had loads of money to lend out!! Thought it was funny myself!!:D

Makes me fcuking sick that these pr*cks don;t have to pay anything back. They'll still have their big fcuk off houses (and more than one) and driving around in their flash Merc and BMW's and what not laughing at the rest of us idiots struggling to pay our mortgages.
There should be something set up similar to CAB and the cnuts should be stripped off all their assets and money and be left to start from scratch as anyone else would. And thats being generous as in reality they should be just fcuked in jail

You would think the second last sentence of that article was an April fools joke.
Its obvious they couldnt care less about the ordinary people of ireland, while protecting their criminal cronies comes first. its been going on for decades, yet we still put up with it.

What makes people think governments are above or control banks?

Nathen Mayer Rothchild - ""I care not what puppet is placed on the throne of England to rule the Empire, ... The man that controls Britain's money supply controls the British Empire. And I control the money supply."

"Let me issue and control a Nation's money and I care not who makes its laws".

what is money or credit? where does it come from...... why do we borrow "credit" (zeroes on a computer and nothing more) with huge interest instead of issuing it to ourselves with no interest?
