A small run of good form going into this game with a good scoring record so lets keep it going. Think Rafa will go with something like: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Insua, Mascherano, Lucas, Kuyt, Gerrard, Benayoun, Torres.

As I think we all can see whiskey nose attacking our left, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Aurelio (if fit) on the left or even putting Kuyt there for his tracking back.

Honestly believe we will win on Sunday, the way our season has gone doesn't matter coming into these games it's who wants it more on the day and I firmly believe the likes of Gerrard, Carragher, Mascherano, Kuyt and Torres are hungrier for the win.

    Bring on Sunday!!!

They have one potential match winner, we have two. Rooney has been sensentional this season, there is no doubt about it. Other than Rooney I am worried about Valencia up against Insua. Every decent winger Insua has faced this season, he has been roasted. Not sure what Rafa can do, some have mentioned moving Agger to Left back, in my opinion the Greek would be destroyed against Rooney and Berbatov.

I would like to see Maxi and Benayoun start in the wide positions. Would be very shocked if Aqua was preferred to Lucas.

United has been piss poor in the last three games against us, Rooney is flying, if we keep him quiet, then I think with Gerrard and Torres we can hit them on the break.

    Bring it On!!!

Love and dread these games in equal measure.Think these cnuts owe us one and shrek is due a goal against us.Thats said, regardless of this season,I still think we have a better XI than them-theyre just the best in the land at killing off the weaker teams but we're more than capable of beating them on the day.As has been mentioned already, the key is to give Insua plenty of help, get tight on Rooney and defend the set pieces with our life.Nando will nick us one on the break.

Checked back and I've only started 1 before, a Chelsea away game in 2008. Chelsea were unbeaten at the bridge in 4 years and we came away with a 0-0 draw. Take my record how you will:D

I think our weak point is Insua. Valencia will aim to tear strips off him. Obviosuly Rooney is top target but keep tight on him and defend set pieces to save our lives

Hope Masch keeps his head and also Torres - he has talked himself into 2 or 3 bookings of late so no doubt Whiskey nose will try to get Vidic and Co. to have him mouthing off

We are back in scoring ways, no matter who the opponent, so lets hope can sneak a win

Carragher and Agger (if both play) will need big game against Rooney but at end of the day, he is only one man

A problem for Sunday could be how horrendously poor Dirk is playing, it wasn't until the 83rd minute last night before he did anything of worth, and as we all know short of murdering Rafas kids and poisoning his dog, there's no way he'll be dropped. He needs one of his half decent games where he gets involved and actually completes more than one pass. Aside from that I'm confident of a result, the Nando/vidic confrontation will only have one winner. We need to play him in as quick and often as possible to put the shits up vidic and gimpboy. Actually looking forward to this for a change

Maxi definately knows where Torres is and can set him off quickly, so for that reason I'd go with:

    ------------------------------Reina-------------------------

    Johnson-------Carra-----------AGGGAARRR (Tv3)--------Insua (withLucas covering)

    ---------------------------Masch---------------------------

    ----Kuyt-------------------Lucas------------------------Maxi

    -------------------------Gerrard----------------------------

    ------------------------Torres------------------------------

as people hav said already my worry is insua... he doesn't look anywhere near the player that could deal wit valencia's pace...

tat aside i believe we can win this game.. with gerrard and torres lookin sharp and mascherano pickin up the pieces in the midfield there is no reason why we cant go there and get a good result...

    MUST KEEP SHREK QUITE

    come on the reds!!!!

Can definitely see us doing the double on them again this year.Take rooney evra and valencia(when he`s on form) out of that team and they become desperately plain and predictable. Its all about the start in my opinion, if we get into there box early and let Torres do the business on vidic(as he always does) the mancs will be quaking and the pressure will build on them very fast.

Dont know about another thrashing this year but i can deinitely see Nando nicking it for us.:D

Whichever way ya dress this game up, its the big one, especially this year.

A win against this lot will go a long way to making sure we hang onto our (joint) record of 18 Championships, and our main aim of fourth spot.

With Rooney in the form he's in, we're gonna need a very disciplined display at the back, forget the rest for now, if we can shackle this lad, we'll do well to get a positive result.. everything good goes through Rooney for the mancs.

Anyways, Im expecting Rafa to resort to type, and in a game like this, proper order too.

    Reina

    Johnson ... Carra ... Agger ... Insua

    Kuyt ... Lucas ... Mascherano ... Maxi/Yossi

    Gerrard ....

    .... Torres

I was tempted to stick Babel in there to give them something to worry about, but then I remembered Insua is likely to play, and I dont think I'd like to see Insua isolated at the back, nor will Rafa, so he'll go for someone that offers good defensive cover, Maxi sticks out more than Yossi, but I think it'll be one of those two, even though I'd like Babel there for attacking/directness.

I cant see it being a high scoring game like last year, but its absolutely vital we take our chances when they come.
We showed last year how clinical we can be at the toilet, but I think its going to be more a "backs to the wall" effort on Sunday if Im honest.

Anyways, Im bricking it and excited all at once for this game...

Something like the pic below will do my heart the world of good come end of game on Sunday....

Is it over 15 hours since Shrek scored against us?Lucas and Mash need to play as well as they have been recently and we can win it.Vidic has been shocking against Torres and Pace. The guardian pointed out today Villa have used the same tactic and it worked.
    I have a feeling for a draw.

    Reina
    Johnson Carra Agger Insua

    Lucas Masch

    Kuyt Gerrard Maxi

    Torres
