Watched the 1st half of that..
Fills me with confidence that if we go into the last game of the season needing a win there is no other CB in the Premier league i would want Nando up against.

Heard a story that he when he was with the mancs, he would come home every so often and go watch the team he started out with but would do so in all his manc gear including his jersey. So I heard from a guy who grew up near him

he overachived on his debut against Czech Republic. been woeful since. must also be noted that had he dealt with the incoming cross at the back post for the infamous Henry hand ball there would have been no goal and no media circus after it. i think he got off lightly there. all the focus is on Hnery when really he defended like a schoolboy at the back stick.
anyway thats history.

I say he made it HIMSELF
HA,HA that vid is funny on the origins of the maker of the vid I'd say it's a bitter Man Poo fan distraught at the fact he left them.

Its a disgrace whats happening in ireland regarding young lads going across the water to english clubs. there has not been any sign of young irish talent emerging in english clubs now for the last few years yet when you look at programmes like footballs next star or whatever it throws up three irish lads in the top five who have yet to be 'spotted' some strange things going on alright with these 'scouts'. im not going to blackgaurd any particular players but for every paul mcshane damien duff robbie keane or glenn whelan there was one or more players each of them would know that are as good as or if not better that played with them in there youger years that didnt make it for some reason or another but imo the main reason is cos the 'scouts' employed over here dont know what they are looking at

He's the worst centre back I've ever seen, makes me want to cry every time I see her on the pitch wearing green, shame he didn't stay at United he'd have made it into the team when they were out of centre backs before

Agree with this and also the svouting system over here will only look at a certain amount of clubs. And if a club does not have a big name the scouts wont bother looking at the players for example i played with a bloke in the wicklow league from under 10's to under 15's stoke scouts came to look at one of my team mates and told his dad he was handy enough but didnt think he would make it so his father pulled him from our team and brought him to "big name " schoolboys club ten miles down the road, Six months later the same scout signed that player. Would make you think how many others miss out

Not the greatest footballer, but fair play to him, its probably his dedictation and hard work that have got him so many Premiership and International appearances.
there are probably 100's of lads in this country with 10 times his ability who got trials etc in England. Some where probably unlucky, but a lot did not the mental side of things.
