Golf Membership

Hy fellas, sorry to kinda hijack this thread but Iv'e been reading through the site for a while now and was wondering that as there appears to be a good few golfers here would any of ye know of a club that is doing a reasonable membership or distant membership indeed were a fella could get a gui handicap, I know of slievenamon but your kinda laughed at with a handicap from there,Thanks in advance

 

Hi Madmax depends where are you living and what you want to spend Highfield in Kildare had membership for about 600 euro including first year green fees, not sure if its still avail. Check out their website.

 

Thanks Red I'm in Dublin, so I know about the elm greens and sillogues kinda hoping that theres something with a distance membership other than the likes of Boyle, Carrick-on-shannon etc etc etc, I'm currently trolling through the GUI website but some of the offers on there are out of date.

I joined here for €250. Haven't been up to it yet but its the cheapest I came across.

 

Thanks Vincenzo they seem to have a good ofer for e199 till the end of march for distance and a few yoyos for golf after that, might drop down and see them, again thanks for the heads up

 

check out Elmgreen, i just played it today, 5 day membership is about €400, and is a nice track
-still have 11€ green fees to play, but if you were considering Slieve Na Mon, im sure the greenfees are ok once you get the opportunity to play often.

 

Thanks conman, played elm green and didn't think much of it, very short holes and 6 hour round of golf put me off, maybe I am being to fussy...

 

Brother inlaw joined Lucan for €13,000 last March, they are now offering full mebership for €1,600 a year,No joining fee he's fcuking sick! Lot of clubs doing this now as
can't get members.

€1,600 a year not three bad and only 5 mins from my gaff! I paying €820 In woodlands but when you take petrol and time lost it might be a good deal although would have to win the lotto first!

just wondering has anyone heard of any cheap memberships deals lately? some nice places already mentioned above,

budget no more than 500 tho im afraid, i know im bein extremely optimistic. drivin distance from dublin i suppose.
