Good news from an Irish perspective but I'm just waiting for the "Hiddink agree's to take Liverpool hotseat in summer" headlines in the Sunday papers.

More likely to be linked with Man City than us.

What and just turn your back on rafa? There is already a thread for people who want any manager other than rafa! Support the club, you are a supporter after all!

He's entitled to his opinion mate. If he'd like to see Hiddink in the job then that's his opinion and it makes him no less a supporter than you or me

sick of this if you dont support rafa you dont support the club sh*t, I dont like rafa end of and if you think that makes me not a supporter of the club there is something wrong with you, and i'll stand by my comment and I think Hiddink would do a great job at Liverpool better than Rafa:eek:

I agree with that, and he is entitled to his opinion, but what is the point of a thread if someone every now and again takes a di at the manager and/or players. Fair enough he might want to see hiddink in, I don't, but that's opinions and there are threads on both topics already there! This thread is about hiddink leaving Russia but now after he has apparently opted to take over the turkey job, and people saying there will be a media circus with us and him, one of our own starts it off! I got to a stage if where I didn't want to come on this site anymore during our bad spell, because of the temporary divide it put on the users it was us and them, those who supported the club manager and players no matter what, and those who wanted heads over a beach ball, nearly every thread was a player or manager thread about how they are no good and the should go etc, but now where are all those people and threads gone too? They'd be sick if rafa did leave, rafa wants a dynasty, hiddink would come for a year ir two then leave, rafa wants to leave the club in many years to come in the right hands! Sorry, partial rant over!

Hiddink gone from russia is great news for Ireland, and if it's true it's great news for turkey, because I think they have a good squad but have always had a poorish manager and no direction, hiddink is a great short term manager but he's no rafa, or wenger or whiskey nose for that matter!

As I said you are entitled to your opinion as I am mine, and as I said I'm sick of it too, but for now, the way I see it is, rafa IS the manager, so why not support him, and if we get a new manager (touches wood) then support him too,. I'm not saying that just because you don't like rafa it means your not a fan, that's nonsense, but there's no point IMO to not support the current players/manager!

Good appointment for Turkey alright and I'd fancy them to to go far at Euro 2012. Am I right in saying that Hiddink has taken every international team he has managed to a semi-final of a major tournament at one point or another?
