Jaysus, remember it very well and watched it all unfold on sky News that day.
Remember thinking we had been up there the previous year and were travelling over in the November again and that was on or to do list again.

    Spectacular pics.
unreal and to this day still can't get my head around the fact that those towers fell to the ground.

I remember, I was picking up my Tux for my Debs in Malahide.. Listening to it in the Taxi on my way back to Swords, couldn't believe it.

The RTE news reporter was close to tears..

    Unreal pictures

My cousins wife worked in the Windows on The World restaurant on top floor of North tower. When first plane hit, they moved to the roof to get away from the smoke. She was on the phone to my uncle talking sayin they were waiting for rescue by helicopter from the roof. It never came

My cousin was lucky enough to have her body pulled from the rubble after 6 days, never forget feeling so relieved at a funeral mass in all my life but that was the general feeling

Went to visit the new memorial there New Years just gone, and its heart wrenching. There are phones, watches and all sorts of stuff pulled from rubble inc. a battered U.S flag and strecther that carried the surivors and dead out

    RIP to all

Was flying to Brussels the next day and was wary of going as there is WTC there.

My uncle drives a bus in NY and he remembers crossing the Brooklyn bridge just after it happened and it was just a pure duststorm.

Hard to believe it will be nine years this September.

Crazy, I was at groound zero last September, it really is hard to believe what happened, I always struggled to imagine the sheer height of the buildings until I went there and seen the height of the Hilton hotel (Black All glass window building in the pics) and was told it was double the size of the hilton.

I was in 6th class when this happened the principal played the news over the intercom (only other time this happened was when traitor Keane walked out on Ireland), I'm in second year at college now, how time flies, ey?

Does anyone here believe/buy into any conspiracy theories involved in this?

RIP to all and godbless there loved ones.

I remember my Junior Cert results were out the next day. Got the results, then watched Sky News all day as had the day off school presumably. I was up the Towers in 1998, a day or two after the Omagh bombing.

Time flies. Two very sad days

Anytime I see pictures or video clips it still gives me a sense of disbelief that it actually happened and its not a movie. Sad sad day

My Daughter was born the nght before and I was totaly cluless to the whole event was sitting n the labour was in Drogheda with the girlfriend( now wife) when my mate rang me back and said he didnt think he could go on the session to wet the babies head. He was working in Dublin airport at the time and was talking about this big security scare in New York. I had no idea what he was on about.

That night about 10 of us were n the pub celebrating and there were pictures of the building on fire and people jumping out of the windows.
    It was all very surreal.
