I cant wait for this fight. I am not a massive boxing fan and I have lost interest in the sport over the past few years to be honest but I genuinely cant wait for this one.
I hope Hatton knocks 20 bells out of Mayweather. Mayweather is a caustic little git and I pray Hatton gives him the beating he is long overdue.

As much as I'd like Hatton to win I'll be shocked if he does, mayweather although he behaves like a knob outside the ring in it theres nobody to touch him, Mayweather unaminous on points i reckon(hope i'm wrong)

I'd agree with you there mate, as much as I'd like Hatton to win I think Mayweather has too much in the tank for Hatton to handle. Don't even think it will go as far as points, fancy a knock out in the 7th or 8th round myself.

I don't know much about Boxing, however I heard for one of the pre match talkin matches these guys have, Mayweather showed up in a united shirt and Hatton in a city one. I know what side I am on.
Saw Hatton on Soccer AM a few times and he seems like a down to earth sort of guy, no bullshit, he just goes out and fights.

it's a shame that Fight is not on one week later.that'd be some Weekend if it was.Hatton/Mayweather in the early Hours of Sunday the 16th and then the Mancs roll in to town a few Hours later.....
i've been looking forward to this one for ages now,i reckon it's going to be a cracker.a lot of Americans sat up and took notice after he beat Castillo,Mayweather would be a foolish Man to underestimate Hatton....

I've said before on this site that I think Hattons weight fluctuations will catch up with him here. Mayweather is too good technically to let him get inside to land those huge body blows.
I'd like to see Hatton win but I really doubt he will.

Was in Times square last week and they have a massive bill board for the promo, i also think they are doin a kind of reality 24/7 coverage of it.
Hope itll be good, mayweather is a real showman and knows how to whoop it up, at the same time he is a damn good fighter.

i'm not sure they will stop it unless the cut gets really bad. The thing about Mayweather is he's going to land punches and will Hatton be able to take them.it's going to be an interesting fight but i think Mayweather is going to come out on top .....barely

Seems strange to me when Englands playing footy or rugby etc, loads of Irish are praying they'll get hockeyed, but when it comes to boxing, theres often plenty of support for some(not all) brit boxers. From Calzaghe, Naseem back to Benn and Bruno theyve had a decent following on this side of the water. Just an observation....

I agree, although I think the support for Hatton is bigger on this side of the water than any other boxer.
I think its because he seems very down to earth and can take the p*** out of himself unlike most of the others !

In fairness, I think its a team sport thing, because they are representing the country. When its an individual, you dont have the Barmy Army, Hooligans etc following them. Obvious exceptions are Eubank, Hamed, Heman and Damon Hill.
When a guy is down to earn, people tend to support tehm no matter the nationality, Hamilton, Mansell, Hatton, Colin Jackson, John Regis and Eddie the Eagle :D:D:D:D etc.
can't wait for this now, the build up on sky has been quality. I'd love to see hatton win but mayweather is quality it's a big ask to beat him especially at welter.

I've been watching Hatton's fights for a few years too. The reason I like watching him is simple - He likes to throw punches which is entertaining. Mayweather is also entertaining, arogant, but a skillful boxer.... I've been hoping Hatton would get a shot at him for the last few years!!
Heavyweight boxing has been crap for a while now. These lighter divisions are far better to watch and this is the biggest fight for years. Bigger than Mayweather V De La Hoya (I liked De La Hoya but he was passed it for the Mayweather fight).
Hopefully The Hitman will Have Him!

watching the last part of 24/7 at the mo.
Mayweather's Uncle Roger called Hatton a tough Club Fighter, called the Fight Rocky 7 and said if Hatton comes out of the Fight Alive he'll be fxxxxd up!
De La Hoya saying Him and Floyd Senior know how to beat Floyd Junior, well why couldn't he do it?
i honestly think De La Hoya could've beaten Mayweather but was his Heart really 100% in it?he's more a Businessman now than a Fighter.
it's far too close to call,Hatton can do it and i REALLY hope he does.
if the proposed Hatton/Del La Hoya Fight comes about after tonight i for one will be Tuning out.this Fight is the real deal, that Fight wont be....

Happy days, Mayweather proves his class again. Decent fight, ref was a bit of a knob early on. Hatton gave it his all but the best fighter won, simple as.
Sky news already making excuses saying Hatton was disadvantaged with the ring, gloves etc. Typical.

Personally I would have liked to see Hatton win.
But thats the way I kind of knew it would go.
Thought after the fight Hatton would have maybe brought up something bout a rematch in the UK, but he obviously knows that Mayweather is the better fighter, and he'd never get th ebetter of him.

Mayweather said after the Fight that it was always an ambition of his to Fight in the UK so you never know,a Re-Match might be on the Cards...

He actually hates mayweather that bloke larry cant think of his 2nd name. Everytime mayweather wins he gives him shit, same last night mayweather was brilliant more or less said that was his last fight and he was gona retire and your man started saying would he fight Miquel Cotto and that a true champion would fight anyone, this to arguablly the greatest boxer ever to put on a pair of gloves.

I thought Hattons strategy was awful, going in looking for a scrap instead of boxing with his brain. Mayweather showed he is a different class, can see him retiring at the top now, you gotta love the way he winds everyone up with his flash style.
Hatton won't get another shot at him if anyone does it will be De la Hoya

I don't know much about Boxing, however I thought the reaction of both fighters after was a credit to them both. There was a lot of hype before the fight, whcih most of was staged for the build up.
At the end of the day, Hatton is a streetfighter who usually wears people down. Mayweather withstood that and his greater quality won in the end.
I can't remember the last time I watched three fights in one night, Duddy, Khan and Hatton.

I don't know about that... personally I thought Hatton lacked a bit of class in his post fight speech; to be fair to him, it's the first time he's been in that position but he did seem to find it very difficult to say anything nice about Mayweather... he seemed to focus on his "dirty" tactics and didn't really acknowledge that he'd been completely outclassed for almost all of the fight.
Mayweather, on the other hand, was particularly gushing in his praise for Hatton, but I suppose it's easy to praise someone when you've just knocked shit out of them!

I thought Hatton took it well enough, he did mention a few elbows etc.... however he did basically admit he has was beaten by the better. During the BB Sports Personality on Sunday night, he was full of praise for Mayweather.
Mayweather outclassed Hatton. Showed everyone that he is the best pound for pound fighter in the world!

he wasnt outclassed at all , he was beaten yes
but in my opinion he's the only one who wanted to go toe to toe , he kept pushing mayweather and he kept pulling away , although when he did strike he was very accurate , personally i thought hatton had more heart , and always pushed the fight , might have been nerves there too as he said he was more nervouse than b4 because it was mayweather etc , why does de la hoya want hatton ?????? personally i think he should ask for a re-match with mayweather instead of going for 2nd best

Its Mayweathers style to be on the backfoot and let his opponent be the aggressor. It doesnt look very impressive until you realise he's not letting any serious blows past his guard and he starts to pick off his opponent with pinpoint punches. Pure class.
