Yea, He seems a dead decent bloke, works' his a$$ off for LFC and never complains or causes problems .... looking back on it, we sure got good value for money at the time !
I think or more i hope hes too goals the other night are gonna be his turning point this season, hes been below par big time and id like to see him taking the responsibility as the senior striker while nando is out and start banging em in!
Love hearing stories like this about our players. He has had his problems both personally and in terms of his football over the last while, but nobody can doubt his commitment and desire for the club.
Great article that, you could see the passion he has for the club the other night. We are lucky to have him.
You have to admire him he was bought as a striker, but played out on the right. He tries his heart out every time he plays and never complains. On top of that he has scored some important goals for us. He gets a lot of unfair criticism but I think hes a top man.
100% agree mate. Sure he's had a bit of a bad patch this season, but so what, he's been great for us over the longer term while he's been at LFC and given his recent brace, will hopefully get some confidence back and go from strength to strength again. After the first penalty going in, then being told he had to take it again as it didn't count, he played a blinder in terms of keeping his composure etc ... truely a sign of a pro, in my own view and just one recent example of the fella. Wish we'd more like him, in terms of attitude and workmanship, at the club .. theres a few I can think of who would definitely learn a few things from this man, not least one of his own countrymen
He gets a fair bit of flak but he has still managed to score one in every three and a half games, not a bad scoring ratio for someone who has probably played 3/4 of his games for us on the wing. He chips in with his share of assists as well and in particular he seems to connect well with Torres for assists. Keep it up Dirk.
Great bloke. Considering the hard time he has gotten at times from some people in and out of the stadium he has never ever hid.
did really wel in europe 2 seasons . the brace against spurs wil hopefully boost his confidence , be good to see him go on a run of goals while he s up top
has been criticised on here and many forums for somewhat limited ability but nobody has ever questioned his effort - if 'effort' was 'ability' then he'd be lionel messi. and as yoko said he has never hidden, even in the face of criticism. and he has represented good value for money...considering we spent 11m on his dutch compatriot who wouldn't run to warm himself in comparison. i think all LFC fans respect this guys attitude as he's the consumate professional on and off the pitch. another couple of goasl agaisnt woles would do nicely too thank u very much
