Would anyone recommend the eurovox or starview systems?
Do any of these types of systems available in Ireland pick up all the saturday 3pm games that some of the sytems in the pubs do?

I would recommend it 100%,you cant pick up the 3pm games the pubs show but you get all the sky sports channels and all the setanta channels.

all you get on Starview or Eurovox are the Channels that are available through NTL,you don't get any Foreign Channels.
i have a Eurovox and would highly recommend it

    Hi lads

Out of interest, are these boxes that work on NTL going to still work with the new digital service NTL are rolling out, or only the old analogue system ?

    Thanks

most likley only analogue you would need different decoders with digital and it would be harder.

you could always buy a sat..a dream box..and connect it via the net and hack the channels. Only thing is sky is the hardest to hack.

loads of my mates do that.

I know a friend ;) who has NTL digital and got the box at the start of the season. Best purchase he has ever made, it reprogrammes itsself if they change codes and stuff. You need to have the basic NTL digital package. You get all the movies, sports, LFCtv and even some adult type channels. I think he said he paid 300 quid for it

Is it not the basic NTL cable package you have to have? I've heard it works with that anyway. Surely they are going to do something about it though .... although NTL may be thinking that it's gonna hurt SKY more and not bother doing anything
