I know he is a Manc but rumours are rife in various papers and on the internet forums Rafa is gunning for him any opinions?
That is true but is he better than what we already have on the left hand side with Aurelio and Riise?
When Aurelio was playing a left back and Riise on the left wing it didn't leave gaps at the back as usually when Riise is left back there is a lot space left when he moves forward and the backline is more exposed. Aurelio added the stability needed there until he got injured
He's no better than JAR and less mobile. I wonder is Rafa thinking of him at Centre-Half if Sami goes....
Well The newspapers, Sky Sports & BBC are all mentioning this, with Rafa said to be targeting a swoop for him, intercepting Juventus ... as is suggested in some reports. I'd like to think we could source better defenders from other locations, rather than having to (appear to) accept a Manc "hand me down"
He was excellent in jis first year at the bad guys, but has not done it since, depends on if he can achieve those height s again. Being an ex manc wouldnt bother me too much. Would imply he once sinned and now has seen the light...
it will never happen.that bitter twisted whisky nosed "slur" would never sell to us.hes too busy trying to get us back off that perch he goes on about
I think he is a great player when injury free. Would defo like to see him playing for Liverpool next season.
A player of his quality who can cover LB and CB is an asset to any club IMO. He is quality regardless of where he once plyed his trade & for 4 million he would be a steal.
He would definately be good enough but can't see it happening, with that bitter twat in charge. The last transfer between the two clubs was 1964 I think.
Would be a great signing I feel. Was their player of the year in his 1st year and then could not get back in the team but that does not make him a bad player. Look at some of the Man U hand me downs recently, Stam, Beckham, Van Nist. Still has some good days ahead of him would like to see him in the real reds for some of them.
Bridge is a better LB but can't play in the centre, Heinze could cover both positions, and a back-up centre half is priority
