Are Gerrard and Torres going to be fit for this? I thought Degen was one of our two best players last night and would play him again. Give Stoke something to think about rather than just piling forward on to Darby. Is Aurelio fit? If so I would play him and give Insua a rest. If Gerrard and Torres are out I would play Reina Degen Agger Carra Aurelio Maxi Lucas Mascherano Benayoun Aquilani Kuyt I know that will not happen but think it would be the best team available if gerrard and torres are out. If Maxi not up to it, play Kuyt right and N'Gog up front.
we need a team that is gonna battle coz these are gonna go out with confidence of seeing our last 2 games and bully us of the park,theyre gonna get stuck in just like reading did last night.its gonna be a very tough game coz our confidence is gone altogether,lose against stoke and were fcuked goin into the spurs game,coz we definitely wont have the right frame of mind at all.

Going away for two weeks after this match. I hope to fck we see more fight than last night as that is what is needed. A change of formation. Torres looks too isolated. Reina, Degen, Carragher, Agger, Aurelio, Maxi, Masher, Aqualini, Babel, Gerrard, Torres If Riera is out injured still then go with Babel as that's all that is there with Benni out. Last chance saloon. If he is not in the starting line up this Saturday he is gone. Dont want to see Kuyt or Insua near the team as they have been cat.
To be honest apart from Pepe Rafa should just pull all the squad defenders, midfielders and strikers into 3 boxes and just randomly pick out 4-4-2 because sitting down and thinking about it clearly isnt working. Its something I never thought I would say but if Stevie and Nando are not fit and I cant see how they will be I dont see us having a prayer against Stoke, they will kick us up and down the pitch, bomb the ball into the box at every opportunity I just cant see how we will cope with their physical game.
Providing Gerrard and Torres are fit I'd go with Reina, Degen, Carragher, Agger, Aurelio, Maxi, Masher, Gerrard, Babel, Kuyt, Torres Insua should be given a long rest. To me he more resembles a bulgarian weight lifter than a footballer. He has as much finesse and defensive ability as one. Even if Aurelio won't sign a contract he must come into the side.
And a pair of balls. At the minute theres probably only 4 players of that mentatlity & the crazy thing is lucas could be includied in that on recent form bar last night.
