Just read on Yahoo that Joe Cole is in the last 6mts of his contract an he is in a pay dispute with Chelsea......would be worth taking him on a Bosman and agreeing to €100k per week?

The reason his contract talks have stalled is because he wants huge money because if chelsea's transfer embargo, and he's threatening to leave for free, he's been injured for ages,. I'd like to see what happens, and hopefully he'll leave and no one will offer him that kind of money, serves him right for being greedy.

 

If he leaves he'll end up at Spurs.

Also its to be notted he is kind of injury prone..But he is supreb and always seems to play well against us..But 100k a week no thank you..

Think he will sort this dispute out with chelsea and sign again for them..Cant see them letting him go..

 

according to the report chelsea are offering him €100k pw but he wants €120k.....greedy fu*ker allright but a smashing player....would be good behind torres with Stevie G dropping back to midfield or even cole out wide right?

yeah thats the point. Will he regain any sort of prolonged fitness?
If so i think 60-70k would be tops for him. With injuries though i wouldnt take the risk on him, we have enough injury prone players for the moment.

 

Ability not in question, however very injury prone. He is a proper landan boy so can't seen him moving norf of essex.

hes definitely not worthy of that amount per week.. half it and id take him, hes a quality player on his day like

 

He's a quality player, since he wouldn't do pay as you play what about a a contract giving him a basic amount per week (50-60k) and a high bonus per each game played (10-20k)
so if he is injured we're not losing the full amount per week of the wages he'd get and when he's playing he'll get closer to the money he wants.

I think he's a great player.

 

players too money orientated to {most are anyway} to accept deals like that he ll want the full whack whether he plays or not
