Well the FAI has pulled off a bit of a coup, a new manager and Brazil in the first game. Its sure to draw a huge crowd. They will probably bundle it with some other country, heard they are lining up Italy and France for May also....
I don't fecking believe it I'm going to the Queens of the Stone Age that night. A Wednesday in February and there's already a fecking clash, just my luck.
I would imagine that whoever was on the list for tickets in the Croke Park games so far will be getting first offers, then you might see something like 10k going on general sale. The last time we played Brazil all terrace stands were open meaning some size of a crowd at Landsdowne. Anyone know if this will apply to Hill 16? Would result in and 80,000+ crowd for the game if its allowed.
There's no reason why not as all seaters are only required for competitive games. Lets just hope Micky Mouse isn't in charge to ruin the atmosphere.
Dont think terraces will be in use for Brazil game as report in Irish Times on Friday says that the Hill will be seated for Brazil and also for the following three rugby games.http://www.ireland.com/newspaper/sport/2007/1109/1194549954591.html
Pity - would like to have seen an 82000 capacity during a night time game against Brazil, would have been some atmostphere.
I reckon there might be 81,999 others joining ya mate I'll be going along alright, it'd be nice if they had a decent manager in place by then, it might re-awaken interest in the Irish public and set up a decent atmosphere on the night.
Sh*t, I thought I might have been the only one there I'd say they will have a new man in place by then.
I'll Be there, for all the other games I've been sitting beside the away Dugout should be able to get a few autographs and pics if i'm there this time
I'll be there, I go to all the home games though for the past few years Ive spent most of my time there rolling my eyes wondering why I spent €50 to go watch rubbish that Id turn off at home
For those who are looking for tickets for this one, they go on sale in the morning at 9am http://www.fai.ie/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2793
