    I don't mind Fanning, from reading his column for years, he goes against the usual grain when it comes to Liverpool and always been behind Benitez.

    yeah - fanning is probably the only pro-rafa journo in the north of europe...dont alwasy agree with him but he's def pro-liverpool. wenger kinda had a point but ia am loath to evr agree with the hypocritical moaning pr**k

    What exactly is in that article that you don't agree with? Fanning nearly always hits the nail on the head and doesn't subscribe to the popular opinion.

    Also i go to Liverpool for the match and have a few drinks while there. The article seems to imply most go over on the piss and just go the match for the sake of it

    I think what he means is that in mentality Scousers are closer to Dublin than London.

    As for the fans claim, he may have over-emphasised the numbers heading over on the piss but you can't deny there are still a large percentage of those sorts who head over too.
