Ruud in at LA Galaxy. Wonder will this lead to exodus of European based players to America. It could be much like the when Ruud, Klinsmann, Zola etc.... came to Prem.
It starts off with guys coming towards the end of their careers looking for one last pay day, and eventually the bigger stars start to come as the quality gets better.
Can see the like of Ronaldo (The good one), Davids, Seedorf, Figo, Raul And Diao :D:D heading over there for the new season
Are you sure they can, is not only 1 per team. A friend of mine said for example LA Galaxy cant sign another European cause they have Beckham there. I aint too sure on it all so if someone could clarify it would be interesting to know.

I dont think its a case of being european, i think its that each team is only allowed one big wage earner that smashes the wage structure. All the europeans can head over if they like, but they have to accept that they'll be earning pittance relative to their usual income, unless they are that clubs 1 designated supserstar.
The superstar rule was brought in Because of Beckham i think.

yes as far as i know this is the case, a wage cap was brought in about a year ago allowing only 1 player from each team to break it. It must be frustrating for other players on the Galaxy team to see Beckham earn so much more then them

Agreed. Its a real marketing/money persons rule rather then a football persons rule. It completely destroys the old "there's no I in Team" and "No Player Is Bigger Then The Club" statements. It effectively means this 1 designated player IS the main man, and is more important then everyone else. This image is nothing new, eg Gerrard at Liverpool, but it used to be earned with performances on the pitch for that team, rather then by marketing directors in an office.
LA Galaxy will makea fortune from Beckham being there, but it has to be terrible for the team. There's always big gaps between the highest earners and lowest earners at a club, but to have one player on the pitch earning astronomical wages, while another needs a second job to have any future security is surely just wrong.
