Collymore Responds to Echo Column From Football 365: http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8749_5830934,00.html What a sad tosser! Stan Collymore is not the sort of man to take things lying down. Quite uncomfortable in those cars, we would imagine. So you can guess his reaction to the following, written by Dominic King of The Liverpool Echo, was not one of love and affection. 'MIGHTY in print, meek in the flesh; Stan Collymore might be cultivating his outspoken pundit image but he didn't exactly rise to the occasion earlier this week. 'Collymore was at Villa Park for the game between two of his former clubs and, having been such an outspoken critic of the Rafa Benitez regime, you might have expected him to at least speak to the Liverpool manager on Tuesday night. 'Not so. He walked in to the press conference room at the same time as Benitez after the game but, upon realising this, Collymore stopped, looked surprised to the point of embarrassed, turned on his heels and started whistling as he left.' Predictably enough, Stanley's story is rather different, and boy did he let us know about it. Within the hour, Collymore 'Tweeted' no less than thrice that King was a 'liar', twice that the piece was 'bulls**t' and described the Echo as a 'rag'. More entertaining were his responses to fellow users of Twitter, calling one contributor a 'twonk' (good word there Stan), another a 'tit' and when asked if he spouted 'some of your no-clue opinions' to Rafa by another, his reply was the pithy 'I just talked about your Mum'.
how is this lad employed to do anything the only way id pay him to do something is for him to stop breathing
Would love to see him confronted by some of these people.. He's a clown who is just out to try and make a name for himself not matter what he does..
Seen this elswhere - Dont like the fella at all - Good to see the union mentioned Football is a game that relies on passion, so I am glad to see and hear supporters voicing their displeasure at the way certain clubs are run. Manchester United fans have protested this week, Portsmouth fans did it before their FA Cup game against Sunderland and Liverpool fans, through the ’Spirit of Shankly’ group, have done it all season. I feel for supporters of all three clubs and believe their cause is worth fighting for given the debts at United, Portsmouth’s cash crisis and Liverpool’s alarming slump. As a former Liverpool player, I’ve even been asked to give my support to 'The Spirit of Shankly’ group to help them oust Tom Hicks and George Gillett from Anfield. I haven’t been flavour of the month amongst die-hard Reds for a while due to my strident views on boss Rafa Benitez, but I’m genuinely honoured to be able to help their campaign in any way I can. And this gave me the idea to publicise and create awareness among any genuine groups of supporters, who are unhappy with the way their club is being run, by encouraging them to get in touch with me. The agenda is no more complicated than to ensure that all clubs are run for the benefit of those who watch the team home and away, who don’t want their club run into the ground or used as a bank. Given Portsmouth’s troubles in the last 12 months I was delighted for the club and their supporters that they recorded a win over Sunderland in the FA Cup. Sometimes we use words like 'massive’ and 'crucial’ too much in football - without merit - but Pompey’s win against the Black Cats really was crucial. Pompey are now in the hat for the fifth round and have gained massive confidence from beating a side that probably would have turned them over six weeks ago. As a player, I found the Cup always offered a freedom of play and a weight off the shoulders that the rigours of League football did not. So I am sure the mood in the Portsmouth camp will be considerably happier this week. The only caveat to that is, to utilise their new-found confidence fully, Portsmouth must win against West Ham on Tuesday night to give themselves some real impetus in the battle to avoid the drop. But good luck to Portsmouth and every other team with problems at the moment.
I suppose any bit of publicity is a help but I'm not sure a woman beating, dogging loving ex-pro is the kind of person we want fronting our cause!
He regulary speaks up against the yanks on his radio show which is more than 99% ofthe parasite explayers have done, Stan mus'nt have a ticket allocation.
graham smith from SOS claims he or the commitee have no idea about this and nobody from the union approached collymore.
He should approach Collymore and ask him to help out and see what he says,as I said he speaks more about the owners than ANY of our explayers,I've heard him regulary slag the yanks off on his show, bar Phil Thompson on SKY the odd time mentioning it none of the others give a fcuk. He does'nt like Rafa I think thats obvious but he does hate the Yanks for what there doing.
the lyrics may help Collymores a w**ker, he wears a w**kers hat, he was a Forest b**tard, and then a Leicester tw*t, he went out with Urika, and beat her like an egg, and when he came to Derby he broke his f**king leg. *Derby fans, Away trip at Wolves.
