Sky sports, and most of the online papers, seem to think he may be on his way to Anfield..............????????
Very good player, would add a badly needed bit of creativity to the side. is he still getting a game for them?
Rafa Benitez has signed long-term target Maxi Rodriguez from Atletico Madrid, according to the respected Well Red blog. The Reds boss was linked with a swoop for the winger back in 2008 but has now secured a deal to bring him to Anfield on a short-term loan with a view to a permanent transfer. The deal is perfect for cash-strapped Liverpool as Rodriguez, out of favour at Atletico, is out of contract in the summer and would not command a fee. The 35-times capped midfielder, who has hit 30 goals in 107 appearances for Atletico, is desperate for first-team football to secure his place in Argentina’s World Cup squad. Liverpool fans will remember Rodriguez scoring a well-crafted goal for Atletico in the group stages of the Champions League last season (picture above shows him celebrating) at Anfield in a game that ended 1-1. Reports this week have linked left back Andrea Dossena with a move in the opposite direction so the two moves could well be linked. seems to be popping up on alot of websites alright hopefuly true say he could be a good signing for us
Think he'd be a good signing. Got a decent goal scoring record too. 26/110 Espanyol 32/121 Athletico 10/35 Argentina
about 5 years past his prime, but if he`s free, then its decent buisness, but i wouldnt be jumping for joy, well past his best
is he???? ****, thats put me in my place, i thought he was about 33 if he`s only 28, then perhaps a move could reinvent him, shit, i really didnt think he was only 28
he is out of contract in the summer, so i wonder will it be a deal that see's him move in summer or will we pay for him
Its a loan deal according to reports for 6 months...will be a free agent in the summer so works out well. Wonder will Dossena be going on loan to Atleti? with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer.
he has had playing time with torres, his goals and assists ratios are proof of his worldclass and imo he could feed torres goal after goal like beckham used to do with van nistlerooy. im so excited now he is one of my favorite players and always the first purchase for my liverpool side in football manager. with his class and creativity i say, **** forth , we will have a title challenge on. THANK YOU RAFA..........(assuming its true!)
I was all up for him signing when he was 28 but 29 is had put me right off Hope we do get him would be replacing Kuyt out the right with a bit luck
damn if he' that old he's finished, well passed his prime Na but if he's free , take him, but i ouldnt get my hopes up, Harry Kewell was world class as well remember
