Cant see him reporting accurately or objectively on the situation in gaza.
it would surprise me if he did.

I agree with ya there.Think it will follow the pro Israeli general media stance. It seems the first episode will be on the palestinians while the second on the israelis.

The Irish general media are very pro palestinian. You couldnt accuse the British media of huge Israeli bias either I don't think. Do you mean the American media?

I think both the British and American are leaning on the Israeli side of the argument, (The american to a higher degree alright). Thats my interpretation of the reporting over the last number of years.

think he will do a very good job of it as he is spending time and showing the footage in 2 parts. One part will no doubt be viewed as pro palestinain and the next episode will be viewed as pro Israel. The majority of people have long held views already.
Kemp's shows are in general excellent and there is a fierce amount of snobbishness attached to them by people.Hard to find better main stream documentaries better in recent years.

I also find the British media nowhere near as bad as the American in reporting on this sitution. The guardian, certain times writers would all have pro palestine views and the opposite could be said of other sunday times and telegraph writers. Its a much better media than here or America.
I myself am pro palestine but if you as much as utter a few choice worlds anti that cause then certain irish media sections and support groups savage you.

Really looking forward to this show.

Thought it was ok,but he didnt go far enough, in showing the full scale of the problems in gaza.(but im pro-palestinian)people will have different opinions.
it came across as saying theres problems here..but its not too bad.
yes there is violence, but its obviously a lot deeper than that, and israel has stripped the ordinary palestinians of their human rights..their dignity, and for many, their homes, and loved ones.
i thought kemp left out a lot of facts, and there was some questions i would have liked him to ask,but then again he's no john pilger.
The militants certainly used him and the cameras, for their propaganda purposes..that was going to be a certainty..and the law graduate kitted out as a suicde bomber certainly grabbed the attention.if he carries it out,he will be the third suicide bomber to hit israel in three years, you would think it was a lot more than that, but one is too many.
As was said by kemp..Israel gained nothing from their invasion...there have been charges of war crimes against the civilian population, and theres no doubt they carried those war crimes out.and some israeli soldiers made it known to the palestinians that they did.(some have since left the army and gone on record)
And the whole world knows, that like all the other UN resolutions that israel has ignored down through the years, they will continue to ignore many more, because the UN is toothless in its dealings with israel.
Gaza is approx 35 miles long by 6miles wide..and has 1.5 million people living there, many call it the biggest open air prison in the world, and imo thats not far off the mark.
The last part of the documentary was harrowing, and really hit home, how terrible it was for those children.
All israel is doing..is breeding a new generation of fighters, and so the cycle continues.

I though he did a good enough job in fairness to him. He was only going to be let show what Hamas wanted people to see. There wasn't alot in it though that hasn't been shown before on the likes of Al Jazeera.

Thought that part was shocking, half the population are children and every one of the kids he spoke to were fully groomed to have no qualms about being a 'martyr' as they put it. Scary stuff indeed.

Good show. crazy part of the world. the Israelis have a lot to answer for bombing non military targets. The part about the children was very sad.
