3 More points please lads and then we focus on climbing further up the table.

    Reina
    Johnson Carra Agger Insua
    Benni Gerrard Lucas Aurelio
    Kuyt Torres

I think we are gonna have to work our bollix of to win this. I'd play Riera or god forgive me Babel if either are fit, to allow Aurelio go left back. I thought Insua's defending was hopeless until they went down to 10, hopefully is assist gives him a shot in the arm.

See you's in the nest for this :)

    Hi mate

I think we'd all agree, we defo need another win here ... this, coupled with the Spurs game close after are now extremely important games for us, in terms of league position etc.

Have to agree with you regarding Aurelio, I know he was playing out of position yesterday and fair play to him, because he's always willing but he was not the right man for that position. I'd give Babel a run to be honest, he has moments of brilliance and is attack minded ...

With the two goals from yesterday, some of your players should have gotten their confidence up a bit, so lets hope Rafa plays an attack minded team. Torres needs a goal or two for sure, but hopefully that will come in time and his fitness levels alongside (although I think we have to accept he needs the operation sooner rather than later, based upon his recent form, you can see the fella just ain't entirely comfortable on the pitch, sadly)

For what it's worth, here's my own suggestion for the game:

    Reina
    Johnson Carra Agger Insua
    Yosi Gerrard Acquilani Babel
    Ngog Torres

Substitutions if the above ain't working out:

Kuyt (to replace either Ngog or Yosi - with Yosi replacing Babel around 60 minutes into the game)

    Aurelio (to replace Insua)

    Spearing (to replace Acquilani)

    Others, as usual ....

three points in this game ar vital :).. it would give the team well needed confidence.. i tink insua is not strong enough 4 the league but as he is only young he still has alot 2 learn... i believe babel would be a good choice 2 start.. all he needs is a run of games which rafa is not given him...

    The Team SHOULD be

    Reina
    Magic Carra Agger Aurelio
    Lucas
    Kuyt Gerrard Aquilani Yossi
    Torres

I would play Aurelio because he's a better defender than insua, and both can go forward well, yet Aurelio can be used for good set pieces.

Lucas should play just to cover, Young and Agboglahor are too fast for our defenders and James milner will like to float around in Midfield, Lucas could do a job on him and break up their play.

Aquilani should play because, Villa can be caught on the counter attack, and this has happened quiet a few times this season, If Aston Villa are attacking, and Lucas or our defenders break up the attack, the ball will be spread to Aquilani and we're down the other end of the pitch with 4 of the best attackers in the Premiership, Benayoun, Kuyt, Gerrard and Torres.

WE CAN WIN AGAINST VILLA. . . AND WE WILL

This is a good time to be playing Villa with them having had only 2 days rest after getting a bit of a chasing from Arsenal. With an almost fully fit squad to choose from if we win here we can close the gap on Villa and keep them within sight in the fight for fourth spot. I think we can win this one.

    +1

Villa were awful today, arsenal didn't need to do much to beat them. Get at them from the start and we should win!

the way this season has been going - we can beat ANYONE - but we can also be beaten by anyone!
So at the moment, there is not one single game where i'd predict 1 or 3 points...

dunno if it's a good or bad thing they got beat, as they could be raring to get at us:rolleyes:

    Reina

    Glen Carra Agger Insua

    Lucas

    ..........Aquilani

    Kuyt Gerrard Yossi

    Torres

Aurelio would be my first choice left back but our most successful back 4 this season is the 4 above

I do tend to agree with you on this but i reckon that Insua will be feeling pretty good after a good game and a great assist for Gerrard. If he could work on his final ball he'd be a comletely different prospect at full back! Don't think he'll ever be a fantastic defender though!
