Yeah he shouldn't be allowed start any more match posts!!

I'm guessing McCarthy won't be dropping his entire team because they realistically should be looking to pick up 3 points in this one! I really do think we're the worst team in the league at the moment! If we get top 4 its a miracle.

with javier out it will be interesting to see how we shape us. Aquilani ready for the game or still injured.

reckon we will win 2 nil.

Torres and Johnson for some reason.

I wonder if Mick will rest the 9 changes he made from the last game and go with the 10 outfield players from the previous again!? ;)

gerrard in the centre with the ubiquitous lucas, torres up top with kuyt and u can take ure pick who he'll put out wide - possibly dosena again. wolves wont rest anyone, they'll fancy this one bigtime the way we're defending. i'd put a tenner on myself to get a goal against liverpool at the moment

I'm very worried that we're going to see a centre midfield of Lucas and Spearing

My thoughts exactly. I'd like to see Gerrard pulled into the centre of the park and Pacheco played up front with Torres. I don't think it will happen though

ANd he will NEVER get fit as long as he continues to only play "a few minutes here and there"

We need to put in a decent performance, even if it is 'only' Wolves. The way we are playing every game is seriously dangerous at the moment.

Id love to see some players dropped. My team would be

    --------Pepe

    Johnson----Carra---Skrtel---Aurelio

    ------ Lucas-----Gerrard

    Benayoun----------------Babel

    ---------NGog---Torres

If Aquaman was fit Id have him playing. kuyt has to be dropped, wake him up a bit. Agger also - thought he was scandelous for the second goal in Portsmouth. He was caught out of position on more than one occasion (Carra with a last gasp challenge to save his ass) He's also been missing alot of scoring opportunities. Against Fiorentina & also against Pompey. Insua also has been poor defensively - need's to be dropped. If Rafa feels Aurelio should be playing because of his dead ball ability then he should not be wasting him at left midfield & play him left back. I know it's far from perfect with Babel but with Reira out give him a shout. We have been desperately poor in the wide positions of late. Compared to last year we have been really poor - people seem to forget how good Reira was there last year - I remember his performance against Villa at Anfield. Simply outstanding. If only we could get him back to that level.

Some may think this is harsh but players cannot have the attitude of playing poorly & be rewarded the next week with a game. If I had my way Id be throwing Pacheco in as well but cant see that happening. The whole thing needs to be freshened up & the list of players playing poorly is unbelievable

Hard to argue with most of what you've written there. Although it might be too much of a risk to make so many changes in a game we simple have to win. But I agree that things need to be freshened up.
