Great entertainment this, unfortunately Wayne Mardle was knocked out already by a qualifier earlier this evening. Its hard to look past Taylor as the winner but Barney could be a bit of value @ 12/1

Rover got me interested in the darts last year with this post. Would there be similar competition this year to guarantee my TV interest? Or have I the wrong tournament?

Haha most PDC events that are televised on Sky have the ladies walking on stage with the players. The Grand Prix in Citywest a few months back had 2 girls in blue hot pants and 'fox in the box' t-shirts walking on stage with the players!!

The one on sky from tonight has dancers on stage this year!

love this tournement, helps fill in alot of boring hours around xmas, wont be looking past taylor in this one, would like to see anderson go along way ,16/1(26/1 on betfair) could be a nice price e/w,thornton e/w @ 80/1(250/1 on betfair ) could be a dark horse. just when you you think mardle couldnt sink any lower he plays so bad tonight that i reckon id have had a good chance against him.

There is a few irish players on the tour alright like Brendan Dolan, Mick Magowan and Jacko Barry. I dont know which 1 of them is in it if any to be honest. Hope there is one of them for the bit of interest.

Taylor 3-0 Colin Monk in the 1st Round last night. 3-0, 3-0, 3-0 in sets with a 103 average and apparently he said in the interview studio after 'I'll Be Better In The Next Round'!!!!

Clayton, your call of 4/1 for a 9 darter in this event from the tip tonight thread may well have a great chance come q-final/s-final/final time cause he may well be on auto pilot by then!!!!!!!!

after the darts in dublin a while back taylor was asked who was the player to look out for in the world championships and he said andy hamilton.he's 55/1 with powers at the mo,he doesn't play his 1st round match till tomorrow night so i'm defo going to have a few quid each way either today or tomorrow.
had a quick look at the draw there and he avoids taylor and barney all the way to the final if he keeps winning.he could meet wade in the 3rd round, jenkins in the quarters and part in the semis, all good players no doubt but i think he's a great each way bet...

the first round matches look straight foward enough but you'll always get 1 good game in the day, sometimes 2,its the next round on when it gets interesting.
