    2009 winner - Ryan Giggs

Don't get me wrong, I respect Giggs' achievments and he seems like a decent lad. He did have a good year but in all fairness, this is a bit of a joke just like his PFA award.

Poor Jenson Button wins the world title and comes 2nd

YA a complete joke, shows the powere fergie has in the media, he said after the west ham game last year that giggs should win player of the year and instead of laughing at him like they should have they all just decided well if fergie said it it must be right

This just follows on from that

giggs has been a model professional these last few years(reminds me of big sami),i always said he was the mancs most dangerous player back in the day,not so much the last couple of years but to continue at that top level at his age has to be admired even though he's a manc bsatard :D

Of course his achievements over such a long period have to be admired but based on the last 12 months, he didn't deserve this.

I'd say Button is a bit pissed seeing that Lewis Hamilton won it last year for the very same achievment

button just jumped into an inferior car this year,he's been a sh*te driver before that and almost buckled under the pressure the last 8 races.lewis on the otherhand although im not a fan had serious challenges his season and drove brilliantly winning the championship on the final corner of the final race.

How does the voting work for this? A lot of people in racing getting behind Tony McCoy for winner this year. Its looks to be between him and McDowell.

Because, the car in front of him pulled over and let him pass,. Thus allowing him to win by 1 point, other than that Massa would have won, by virtue of winning more races,.

Going off topic, IMO i think F1, should be decided on who won the most races, or podiums at the very least, forget all this points crap, you can win the title without ever being on the podium, thats not an achievment at all,.
