Recorded this programme when it was on 2 weeks ago but only watched it now. Very enjoyable watch, would recommend it if you can catch it anywhere.

Gives a good insight in Brian Kerr, how he works and his ideas on football. Some challenge he took on. The Faroes has a population of 49,000 people, it's the same size as Carlow!

Amazing result for them to hold France to a 1-0 loss. All amateur players, working as fisherman, plumbers, carpenters and policemen etc. His kit man is the local prison warden (there are 12 people in prison on the island :D) and he brings the prisoners down to cut the pitch!

Funny also to see Liam Brady criticise Brian Kerr during his reign for being "too defensive minded" !!!

Results were poor towards the of Kerrs reign, no doubt about it and a change was needed but the way it was handled and the fallout between him and the FAI was sad to see.

His underage record was unreal, winning 2 European Championships and finishing 3rd in the world cup were incredible results. When you look at the state of our underage teams now you can't help but feel he could have brought something to it if he was somehow there again.

Anyway, as I said well worth the watch....

Seen it about two weeks ago when it was on and i thought it was a very good programme. It was nice to get a insight into the smaller countries reagarding their preparation.

Also Kerrs passion on the side line was excellent too.He had a couple of good results too,so alls i can say is i wish him the best of luck with them.

In all fairness kerr has the same record as Trap & everyone says Trap is great..... Kerr would do the same job as him anyday just he is not a 'big name Italian'....

The only thing he lacks is a bit of respect from senior players and muppet journalists, but this can be quickly sorted. I'd rate Kerr higher than I would 13 or 14 of the current premiership managers. His knowledge of the world game is phenomenal.

He is bitter towards the FAI alright, but he is well entitled too be.
Good programme, well worth a watch.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. I think the media had it in for him big time. He got slaughtered for being negative but he was more positive than the way we play under Trap. Felt if he was a bigger "name" he would have got another term. At the end of the day he didn't get on with haircut-of-the-year Delaney so it wasn't going to work out for him. I wish him luck with the Faroes, nice to see them get their first win in years at the end, even if it was a few weeks after the camera crew had left.
