At times like this we should be supporting our manager and giving any help or support we can to turn things around and not posting mad articles from wherever about no marks like jose !

Jose had exciting players at Chelsea but the football they played wasnt very pretty. He didnt win the trophies, Roman bought them. Im not even thinking bout our next manager.

I am finding it very hard to understand why the football is the way it us under Rafa, when I remember watching his Valencia team and thinking they were one of the most exciting attacking teams in Europe at the time.

However, there is no way I would like to see him being replaced by Mourinho. Rafa is one of teh best out there and we should stick by him. He's just a stubborn git sometimes

my frustration lately towards rafa is starting to boil over but yet i still would not like to see mourinho in his place espeically after his reaction to the penalty they got against us this year.

It think it would be one of the most remarkable stories ever if Jose was to ever manage Liverpool. He could take Terry and Essien aswell

I am happy with Rafa for now, however if a change was needed, I would take Jose. No matter what anyone says, he has won a lot of trophies and at the end of the day thats what matters most.

No Way Jose.

Rafa deserves our support. I'm very frustrated but come on, it will take time. Surely he has earned that. After 6-10 pints I might mutter Rafa out after a bad result, but so far unbeaten. Beat the mancs, win the game in hand, we a laughing again.

Definitely agree with ya, I'm struggling to keep faith in Rafa, not because of his rotation or anything, I just really hate the style of football we are playing at the moment with the quality that we have.

But I will stick with Rafa any day over Maureen - he had the most expensive team in the world and it was still better watching paint dry. He's got no class anyway, Jose is not Liverpool material.

Rut ? What rut ?

Jeez if Kuyt had stuck one of those chances in on Sat or one of Gerrard's went in we'd be 4 points off the top with a game in hand on the mancs with them to come to Anfield. I for one don't think any team plummeted Blackburn like we did in the last 20 mins and they've played Arsenal and Chelsea already. I'm not going to quote the abs crucial injuries but I do think Torres would've put one away. I dunno about now before certainly before this weekend we had the best away record int he league and compare that to last year.

When Rafa was winning or getting to CL finals it wasn't enough for the experts and now not doing as well in Europe is meant to have his head on the chopping block. The value of success in Europe seems to be portrayed as inversely proportional to how well we do in it.

I really get bored of this overraction sh1t. Cop a hold. Mourinho my arse and some people even considering it. Unbelievable. If you (not you personally 5ForKeeps) think we're in a rut I can only guess you're no older than your early 20s as you'd want to have gone to the matches before Rafa came along ! There was life before Istanbul and with the exception of one glorious season it wasn't pretty.

Its just gone November and Mourinho being tipped to replace Rafa. God help us all.

like some of u im startin to get worried about the situation, ive always backed rafa to the hilt, but unless he starts to make this team click and play with some fluency i think somthing might have to be done.
wether the "special one" would suit liverpool or not im not so sure

I am finding it very hard to understand why the football is the way it us under Rafa, when I remember watching his Valencia team and thinking they were one of the most exciting attacking teams in Europe at the time.

Mate! Rafa's Valencia were a truly great side & I'd put them ahead of Barcelona, Juventus & Roma as probably the best European side I every seen at Anfield in the past 20 years they only beat us one nil but they murdered us that night! I'm almost sure we had only one shot on goal in the whole match!

I was also lucky enough to see them at the Mestalla on a few occasions & I can tell you they were not! "One of the most attacking or exciting teams in Europe" what they did have was brilliant ball retention it was so hard to get the ball of them & as with all Rafa's teams they were a hard team to break down! they played to a very simple but effective! style or system of play! all his players new what there jobs were & what they had to do! Rafa had a squad of about 18 players no real super stars, most of them played in 3 or 4 different positions & he could chop & change all he wanted they all played to the same system!

The system of play he introduced there! allowed him to break the dominance of the big two in Spain something that hadn't been done in 20 years "sounds familiar this" also this system is still very much evident, in the way Valencia play to this day.

Valencia are now in the top 3 sides in Spain & are about to move in to a new 75 thousand seater stadium & you can be sure a lot of that success is down to Benitez just ask the Valencia fans, he's still idealize there & if he was to leave Liverpool he would have a job for life there! For Sure

Are you for real ???? i know everyone is entitled to thier opinion but that is a mad shout, do you not remember his behaviour towards our club on several occasions, i dont reckon you will get many people who would welcome him and his lack of class and dignity !

Rafa was criticised for "zonal marking" when he came to us but he stuck to his guns and proved the critics wrong. Now he is getting grief (from me aswell) for his rotation policy. Maybe this policy takes a bit longer to instill in the squad and now he has the players he wants, maybe this rotation will be very successful for us in the future. I truly hope so. The only problem for me is I want the title THIS season. I believe the Scum are only 1 behind us in title wins? I cant go another year watching them take it. We've been waiting 17yrs, this is Rafas 3rd. Maybe thats why im so short-sighted at the moment.

I second that. The Liverpool managers job isn't a centre stage for an individual to steal the show away from everything Liverpool F.C has grown to be. He is an ignorant, bad mannered, sore loser and I wouldn't even consider it an option for him to even be linked with the prestigious job ever! Terrys just as bad. If he was in charge I would not be proud to be a red.

You have to admit the post/pre match press conference would be very interesting.

If Rafa went and it meant us winning the premier with the next manager I dont care who it is, what ever about Terry .. but if he Brings in that Essien fella .... I dont care if he captains us, we win the Premier, FA Cup, Worthless Cup and we get our revenge back and beat AC Milan 10.0 in the CL final I would never ever support that Essien after his tackle on Didi ...

With Mal & JC23 all the way and as JC said people are entitled to their opinion but this is a real splitter. I can see no grey ground regarding Mourinho and our club and to be honest have to wonder about people that are contemplating Mourinho.

The hacks love a story like that as they love blowing up every little thing out of all proporation and put Rafa's head on the chopping board intermittently. Reds however should understand what the club stands for and exactly why Mouriniho would never fit with it. Rafa vets every player we sign for his attitude to the club and character. This is plainly why we didn't sign Lucas Neil and Malouda among others. We have standards and Mouriniho doesn't meet them regardless of how much people may want a trophy and want it now. I could say if thats your attitude then go support the chavs or mancs but it should suffice to say take a step back from this overblown rut/disaster/drama/crisis and check yourself over what you're actually saying. 3 years is nothing in building a new team when the finance to do so only came about after 3 years. Cop a hold and support your team and manager.

I'm so disapointed with this thread "mourinho rumors " I though it was the one in the portugese press about him pulling the ears of a pupil in his daughters school not this horsesh*t about him comin to Liverpool.:p

That was a bit of wind up, these rumours simply cannot be true. It might be true in Italy and Spain where a manager can manger AC/Inter/Juventus or Real/Barca/Valencia, but it would not just happen between the big four in PL.

Could you imagine Fergie at Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool.

hmm.....I could though imagine Mourinho at United... wonder why.... one is self obsessed self centered limelight seaking soapbox.... the other is a Portugeese manager
