I would love him, .he's a great player,. he can play either side, up front or in behind, and free kick taker too,. would be a great signing,. Hopefully its true, but its probably not,.

We were linked with him in the Summer. His wife has cancer so it depends on the best place for her to get treatment as to where he'd sign. He's Kuyts room-mate for the national team which is a plus. I think he's deadly. Still reckon it's garbage from the papers again.

I think it would be masterstroke by Rafa to get this lad in on loan in January. Its World Cup year and he will be getting his ass warm on the Madrid Bench for the rest of season. If he was successful and by some miracle Rafa got some money, then possibly purchase in the summer.

Unless we sell someone for big money, then there will be no signings under the current joke regime.

He is Dutch and maybe kuyt could put in a good word,I am so surprised how underated he is,but I agree he is great on both flanks and I believe he would be a great signing in an area where we are found wanting at the moment.

IMO he would be quality and would have a point to prove in WC year so Jan would be ideal and could give us more options

He might be great in Spain,. with all the space and time and sh!t defenders there is out there,. Like Reyes was,. That would be ideal to swap him for Van der Vaart!

No doubt he's a talented player but to get the best out of him I feel the team has to be centered around him as it was at Hamburg.

He could well be available for loan with a small downpaymnet though. That would be the way to go initially in my opinion.

He'd be a vast improvement on many players in our team so of course it would be good to get him. Babel wont be going the opposite direction, thats nonsense.

I did however read somewhere, we were looking at Elia who went to hamburg in the summer, he looks a very very good player but it be soon for him to move but rafa reckoned 12m would do it given they bought him for 7 or something. The article also said, usuing babel in a swap might entice them to let him go.
