started a thread about the ufc coming to dublin a long time ago but thought it deserved a thread of its own, some great fights have passed, how machida kept his belt in the last ppv against shogun rua is beyond me,looked an all out upset, machida looked a beaten man for 5 rounds, brock lesnar is looking a top notch heavyweight lately(is the champion),have no idea who can beat him in that division(in saying that cain velasquez is a serious fighter),the natural randy couture is headlining the next ppv in england soon, should be interesting.

the ultimate fighter season 10 has been brilliant so far this year, evans going 7-0 only for big baby to get one up on the last episode for rampage and the way he disposed of his opponent gives him a serious chance for rampages team, laughed me boll*x off the last episode,so much so, the neighbour knocked to see if i was alright :D

any views some of you have id love to hear them,am a big ufc fan.

am gonna persevere with this thread and continue to post as its the number1 up and coming sports out there at the moment,i know there's some fans on here also.Just watched ufc 105 and what a ppv, dont read on if you're downloading it tomorrow

jesus lads i got robbed there, had pearson, brown and bisping up only to get a kick in the face from hardy who beat swick well, then i would have been waiting on randy couture who looked all out beaten by vera but the judges give him the win in a very very strange decision ???????? fcuk i had €50 euro on it at 20/1,swick was 4/11 agggghhhhh, but also did a super yankee so moneys back on the 4 wins.

a great ppv,big shout out to michael bisping, looked a beaten man in the first round but ended up whooping kang in the next 2 rounds, also in the prelims there were 2 great knockouts.must sees.

    Alright mate

Huge fan as well and watch it all the time

You're right about Machida, one of my favourite fighters but Shogun deserved it without a doubt - that's the problem with not finishing the fight, leave it in teh hands of the judges and it's a lottery

105 was good, like you I got shafted on 1 fight as had Bispin, Hardy, Randy to win but thought Aaron Riley had enough in his locker to beat Pearson - kudos to Pearson though as he looked excellent

Kang's been a major disappointment for me, another who came across for rival organisations with massive reputation but can't hack it

Looking forward to seeing Tito on Saturday night to see if he still has it - think he's past it myself but the sport needs charachters like him I reckon

Huge injury list building up though, Brock has some serious illness and has been in & out of hospital for weeks, fight v Shane Carwin was postponed and re-scheduled date cancelled - rumours circulating that his career could be in jeopardy but probably scare-mongering. Talk of Couture's next fight being against Mark Coleman - should be a bit easier on Randy after a few gruelling fights

Good thread mate - have to try to keep it going, even if I rarely come in here

hehe nice one homer, thought i was all alone there for awhile .. . .
unlucky with your bet,the 6/4 for pearson swung it for me.

i couldnt believe the decision went against vera,i uttered the famous last words "randys past it" during the fight, more fool me.

i hope the situation with lesnar is just scare mongering,i have been really impressed with his transition to mma,he's just a juggernaut, maybe late next year id like to see cain velasquez/lesnar,velasquez looked awesome against kongo and rothwell,if he can do the same against noiguera in 108 he's got to be next in line.

but the fight i cant wait for is sanchez vs penn in 107,think its around the middle of december, sanchez dropping to 155 was a masterstroke,bj will have to bring his a-game for this one.

i think forrest will whoop tito personally, and watch dana grin ear to ear hehe, but you're right, more characters like him are needed but the rest of the card looks pretty high class,i will be looking for odds for a knockout between koscheck/johnson,looking foward to seeing amir sadollah and karo parisyan has a fight on the card aswell.

so all in all a good time to be a mma fan ;)

I believe Lesnar is 'very very sick' according to UFC President Dana White. He has some internal disease that requires major surgery. Anybody hear anything on this?

Rodrigo Medeiros, a 7-time World Jiu-Jitsu champion, spoke that Lesnar "is getting better and that is the most important thing ... He will be fine and be fighting again within 6 months."

Medeiros added, "I can just say that the heavyweights can stop laughing and get ready to start crying because the champion will be back soon."

Lesnar had surgery earlier this week to repair a hole in his intestine. While Lesnar is still in rough shape and has a long road ahead of him, the outlook has improved dramatically from last week when Dana White was saying that Lesnar is "very very sick" and may never fight again.

Have to say, as awesome and nearly unbeatable as Lesnar has been he doesn't excite me at all. He's a monster and his power would take down ANYONE, however he's a dick and is very disrespectful towards his opponents, even after the fights which I don't like

Can't say it's not effective but dragging his opponent to the ground and hammerfisting to victory time after time is not what I want to see but I really don't see anyone out there who could trouble him. Valesquez I think is an amazing prospect but he will be dwarfed by Lesnar and I'm not sure how he could physically beat him - looking forward to his fight with Noguera though

Did you see Fedor against Rogers on Strikeforce a couple of weeks back - the guy is unbelievable!!!!

sorry it took so long to reply but totally disagree with your summary of lesnar,he got caught in a submission by mir in the first fight after beating the shite out of him and by the second fight his submission defenece had improved so much that mir had no answer to his power, the way he has progressed through the sport in such a short space of time is admirable, love his arrogance, all i can see beating him at the moment is a lucky punch

had a big bet on at the ultimate fighter finale matrionne(9/2)/big country, happy days, delighted big country won it as dana hated the fcuk out of him,and what about the announcement of the next seasons ultimate fighter coaches liddel vs ortiz, hope its as explosive as this seasons one.although seriosly disappionted rampage chose to play b.a in the upcoming film the a-team rather that fight rashad

and on to ufc 107,what an awesome first fight, slanging and banging paul buentello vs 21yr old stefan struve, struve the right winner imo,in the next fight i fancied florian @ 1/2 but would never ever back against the carpenter guida,,florian beat him well, lots of blood !!! rear naked choke to win it !!!!,lmao at rogan calling kenny clay, fancied mir in the next but again wouldnt have a bet on in it,a big left hand put him down and choked him out, nice one mir,as for the main event,as big a fan as i am of the nightmare (outside of gsp) i knew bj's takedown defence and boxing would be more than enough.

Likewise, sorry it took so long to respond but not sure what you totally disagree with - Lesnar's game plan is all about getting his opponent to the ground and hammerfisting his way to victory, it's how he beat Coutoure, Herring and although he didn't finish the Mir fight by hammerfists, it played a huge part in it

Not saying it's not effective, just don't find him entertaining during fights. His take down defence has improved for sure, then again it had to as it was originally on a par with yours or mine :D, however much of it is how do you actually take down a monster of that size

He's an animal and as I said originally, don't see anyone / anything out there that can beat him currently apart from his own health issues
