Brazil coach Dunga has named uncapped duo Hulk and Carlos Eduardo in his squad for next month's friendly against England in Doha, while Liverpool full-back Fabio Aurelio has been recalled. Porto striker Hulk and Hoffenheim winger Carlos Eduardo join more established attacking talent like Kaka and Luis Fabiano in the 24-man party. Aurelio, who will be looking to win his first senior cap, is one of two Liverpool players in the squad, which is solely European-based, with midfielder Lucas the other. Manchester City's Robinho has also been included, while Lyon full-back Michel Bastos has been handed his first call-up. AC Milan duo Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato and Juventus' Diego have been left out, however. The five-time World Cup winners take on Fabio Capello's men on November 14 and Oman three days later. Brazil squad: Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Doni (Roma); Maicon (Inter Milan), Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Luisao (Benfica), Lucio (Inter Milan), Juan (Roma), Naldo (Werder Bremen), Fabio Aurelio (Liverpool), Michel Bastos (Lyon); Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos), Josue (Wolfsburg), Lucas (Liverpool), Felipe Mello (Juventus), Alex (Spartak Moscow), Julio Baptista (Roma), Ramires (Benfica), Elano (Galatasaray), Kaka (Real Madrid); Carlos Eduardo (Hoffenheim); Robinho (Manchester City); Luis Fabiano (Sevilla); Nilmar (Villarreal); Hulk (Porto)
Oh please Fabio don't get injured on one of these stupid fcukin international breaks.. delighted for him though .. he's a great player to have in our squad.
Great news for Fabio..Will give Brazil another option with regards set pieces because they are so terrible at the moment at them.. Fabio doesnt seem the typical brazilan left back, in the sense he doesnt really bomb up and down the wings..Not a bad thing,Just a osbersvation.. Hope Lucas gets a good run out in this game.
Sh*t news for us though, Fu*king Qatar, and Gerrard and Johnson will most likely go too. Rafa needs to sort this, no way whiskey nose will allow Rooney,Ferdinand or Anderson go.
He'll let Ferdinand go, and he'll be hoping he gets injured too, and thats if Capello picks him, unless he's hoping whiskey nose wont let him go, or that he gets injured. Nobody wants to be the one to drop him but they both probably will,. Hope to god Rafa can sort something out, maybe all the lads can play a max 45mins or something like that, it would be awful to get an injury to Fabio, Lucas, Stevie or Glen. lol,. good news for him, its about time he got a cap. Even if he has to play at right back,.
Not a single player in that squad of 24 is playing in the Brazilian league. That is really something for a nation as strong as Brazil. Does not say a whole lot about their domestic league but alot about where the money and best competitions are.
Most of the team that played all the qualifiers so far have been from the National League, and as the campaign draws on, they add more European based players to it, and then take them out again once the qualify, and then bring them all back for the World Cup and all the National league players that done all the hard work get the boot usually,. Argentina tried that system and it didn't work too well for the most part,.
Well done to the two of them, also your man Hulk has looked good the couple of times I have seen Porto play this season.
