Its mad to think that game was well over 12 years ago. Being 3 down going into the 2nd leg we had a mountain to climb. I'll always remember after the game how proud I was of the performance given on the night. Was a shame cos we never did win the Cup Winners Cup. Its a stand out game for me where we didnt get the overall result but couldnt have asked for more from the team.

Fowler at his very best and David James nearly scoring a header at the death into the Kop end. Had that gone in it would have more than made up for this nightmare in Paris in the first leg. Ah memories....

Ahh i remember it well, it was some match to be fair and we nearly got the 3rd goal in the end, psg where lucky to hold out.

Mark wrights goal with 8 mins to go made it 3-2 over all and i really did think we would grab the 3rd.

was fowler's goal just before half time? think it was. he was unlucky not to bag another few ont the night. llama (could be dodgy spelling) was in goals for PSG. Leonardo being one of their star players at the time

It was a very good psg team at that time tho but after getting the early goal i thought we would push on and take them.
