I know its not a big thing to anyone on here but i just said id post it up. I got a present this evening for my daughters christening. A framed Stevie shirt signed "To Caoimhe, All the Best, Steven Gerrard". An absolute gent and im sure he does things like this all the time but its just amazing to have it hanging in my living room.
My mates girlfriend has family there(either her uncle or her uncles neighbour is the kitman) and she sorted it all out for me. Still cant believe it
I'm going to have to stick my nose in here and ask how did that come about? EDIT: Never mind. Fair play
Its not often you get stuff signed any more by the likes of Gerrard and Co as there's a chance they'll end off been flogged to the highest bidder so they tend to swerve doing it.Your a lucky chappie.
See above. Apparently signed on the bus after the Hull game because they werent sure of the spelling so the uncle/neighbour had to make sure of it before asking him to do it. Im just uploading pictures so will throw it up here tomorrow
Course its a big thing I would be bringing evryone in to see it I got 3 jerseys signed by the whole team (2 adults, 1 child), when Crouch was still there. Long story but a friend of mine drove Aldos parents around for the races, they brought them over, took nearly 5 months to get them done, someone brought them to dublin, put them in a delivery van that was going to a shop here in galway. went to collect them the minute they landed, there was only 2 in the bag, 1 adult, 1 child Gutted I was, it was my one that was taken, had to majella on it. gave my brother the sob story, so he gave me his one as the child one was for his son. Well pleased I am with it. Have a pic myself somewhere. pride and joy
Nice little present there. Some thing you will be able to tell her about when she was older and explain to her the who the great man was who signed it and his heroics..
As promised last night As someone said, i cant wait to tell her all about the great man when she is older. I have a 5 year old brother who is in "man-love" with him. Has him on the back of 3 jerseys and everytime we have a kickabout he has to be Stevie. At least he will be able to remember Stevie playing when he is a bit older, Caoimhe won't unfortunately.
That's class looking well done mate. Great job on the framing too. I have a couple of shirts framed in my place, thing i found was its hard to get somewhere that does them right
