I would be willing to bet come this time next year, he wont be at Man City. On the bench last night is a sign of things to come for in my opinion a player more highly rated than he should be. Like other players in this country, his stock seems to rise when he is not available.
I agree, whilst he is clearly a good player he is still over-rated here and if it wasn't for the clamour among the Irish media to get him back for the international side he would be seen as just that...a good player. I too believe that he may have had his honeymoon period and as Man City continue to chase big name players he will eventually get squeezed out of the club.

Football wise the guy is amazing no question, but I still cannot understand for what ever reason he has for not wanting to play for his country in my opinion makes him a no body. If my young lad done what he done and given the chances and wanted by so many people to represent his country Id f... him out, we lamb basted Roy Keane for something similiar.
Why exactly did he walk away from the Irish setup? I have heard he was getting bullied in the dressing room surely it was more than that?
A fellow i know, knows his father, apparently it was to do with what Brian Kerr said about him, and a few of Kerr's staff still remain that also said the same. How true this is i don't know. Or i don't know what Kerr and the staff said. But judging by those pics, i doubt Ireland is the type to let a little bit of bullying by teammates get to him.
