Is it just me or do we have some players wanting to leave ?

Babel,Dossena,Mascherano,Voronin have all angled for move's away from the club have also heard Reira was unsettled last season then there are the one's who wanted away & got there wish Alonso,Arbeloa,Crouch.

Not sure if i left anyone out. What's it all about is there some reason I'm missing bar playing time but it's the same at the other 3 big clubs & they don't seem to have as many players as us that are unhappy.
Know the last 3 name's I mentioned would fit into our squad very nicely.

Babel,Dossena,Voronin, Crouch, Arbeloa - Not enough first team football and be no loss anyway
Mascherano - His wife wants to move to Spain.
Alonso - Rafa treated him badly and he got a move to the biggest team in Spain the year before world cup

Don’t think there’s any mystery to the names you’ve mentioned above:

Babel – Has worked out for him so far at Liverpool. He’s lost his place in the Dutch squad and he’s looking for an easy option by going on loan to Ajax in order to win his place back for the world cup.

Dossena – Seems to have struggled to come to terms with the premier league and with talk of one or two Italian teams interested in taking him back to Spain it seems like the right idea, again with a place in the Italy squad firmly in his mind for next summer.

Mascherano – Two or three potential reasons here. First being he is looking for more money as he was reported to be earning as little (in footballing terms) as 20K a week at Liverpool. Secondly his wife was unsettled in Liverpool and wanted to move to Spain. Thirdly and unsurprisingly when a club as big as Barcelona talks about buying you, you’re head gets turned.

Voronin – Doesn’t get a game so it’s no real surprise

Alonso – made it clear (to Rafa) at the very start of the summer he wanted to join Real Madrid. Only one way that way going to end.

Arbeloa – coming near the end of his contract at Liverpool, had the chance to sign probably his last big contract and last chance to play for a big club in his native country.

Crouch – Like so many he wasn’t playing as often as he’d like at Liverpool and if he wanted to keep his place in the England squad he had to move on. He was told so by the England Manager.

its playing time in some cases - in others it might be irreconcilable differences with rafa. and for others they may jsut see real and barca as a better option and teams witha much better chance of success in their leagues and in the Cl because of the depth of talent they have ant the spending power. its an accumulation of things, if we win nothing this year, and that IS a possiblilty, iwouldnt be surprised to see torres/masch/reina etc rumbling and their agent touting moves away from anfield. at the end of the day if ure a top class player u want to win trophies. i'm not saying we wont but its conceivable that we wont and torres and reina have won nothing in domestic football at their age and they are worthy of any top side. u dont want to be like shearer - world class and only one medal to show for it. i don't like it but i fully understand it. its actually why i think a major trophy is a must this year. the financila rumblings have put a dampner on optimism, the goalie says we're not good enough to wint he league - i wouldnt be surprised if a few of our stars left in the next year or two, most likely for spain, and rafa wouldnt get all the transfer money either. worrying times

So it come's down to game time & International chances for them which we can all understand but if we were winning trophys or even reaching finals would it be as easy for the mention players to use the above excuse's I wonder.

    Another silly thread.......
Exactly as every1 else pointed out, there are perfectly locigal reasons for all of those players. Every club has this problem with players wanting to leave.

United lost their best player durin the summer! And there was rumours about vidic wantin to leave, and they lost tevez too. He turned down an offer of a 5year contract with them.

Last summer Drogba was sayin he might want to leave, and Carvalho & Deco seemed set for inter milan, Boswinga seemed set for bayern munich etc etc

Arsenal lost Adebayor and Toure, Fabregas heavily linked with barca etc etc

Agree with everything bar one thing Crouch in the no loss bracket think if we still had him he would be a big asset (no pun intended) upfront he also brought something different to us & a lot of teams could'nt cope with him everything else is nicely put though.

I just named ones involving a few of their best players off the top of my head. Im sure there are a lot more. Terry to man city was another major one. At the end of the day i dont think we are any better or worse than most other clubs in regard to players wantin to leave.

I understand what your saying but think that the other 3 clubs have squads that most if not all there players want to be with them on the other hand we have 3 to 4 players who are wishing they were somewhere else or are unhappy about the money they are on it can't be good for the team.

great optimism there mate. fair play to you. bet you were the very same last season and had to eat a bit of humble pie when the tables were turned and we very nearly won the league. long season ahead. let Lee Dixon and Merson sign our death warrant but its still very early doors for me
