Just wondering if any of the regulars match-goers from this site keep a blog on their travels for the season? Maybe, one already exists, but if not I think it would be a great help to others and very interesting if one or more regular match-goers from this site blogged on each game that they attended, how they travelled, where they stayed, how they got the match ticket, cost of trip, and of course their own match report, craic before after etc. ye know what I mean. (I know that Block102 posted on his own website the cost of his flights up to Christmas - fair play!) I am relatively new to this site, and while alot of this match-related info is already spread across various threads and locations, it can be difficult to pull it all together. I think a blog would sort that. Maybe the Mods could decide on where such a blog could be stored etc. (maybe this site is or is not the location for it) someplace easily accessible so that the same questions are not repeatedly asked! I think if it could also be setup so that others could not reply to the blog directly this would be helpful as people wont read through pages and pages of replies etc. Anyway, this is just an idea, but I think that a blog could be great. People would realise, that even if they just attend a handful of games a year, that to pull the package together themselves is not that difficult and ultimately it should help decrease the amount of people using the travel touts...and it would also be a nice little record for the blogger.
yeah football related pics of course! As regards what you hear - that would be up to the blogger to censore!
There is a Blog add on for this software we run,it costs about $50 a year.I am not sure if we would have the numbers using it to justify getting it.
Ah if there is an add-on available thats great then! $50 a year is not alot (less than $1 a week) and if many people could use it then it would take the pressure of the same person blogging after each game they attended - a rota could be setup. Why not put it out there in a poll and see if enough people would like to contribute to it? With the International break on at the minute its a good time to gauge interest.
Fair enough - but I'm sure plenty on here would have interest in reading a blog. Just thing its a great opportunity to educate people that attend a handful of games a year and use the travel touts, that to pull the package together themselves is not that difficult. I would write one myself but unfortunately cannot get to that many games.
