Ipod Touch Help

Right lads my head is fried..Ive been at this for nearly 6 hours..Im using the latest verison of itunes.I want to transfer a video on my computer to itunes.The video is only a espidoe of two and a half men, so its not a big file.The ipod is empty too as its brand new.

This is what im doing
ive clicked on file and went to add file from to library.Then i choose the video but nothing happens.It doesnt import or nothing happens.please some one help as my head is wrecked..

Check your vids are in the right format

 

You have to convert the file to an mp4 or something. Downloand this

and put your video in and then convert it to the right size and when its done slide it onto i tunes. i had the same problem

It takes a while to get used to it but once you understand how to convert your videos and then sync them onto your ipod its a piece of piss.

Glad you got it sorted Ron, when I got my ipod it wrecked my head until my brother showed me what I was doing wrong, after that I was grand.

As a matter of interest, could you put a whole movie on the touch?

 

You can indeed, as long as its mp4 format, theres no limit to file size as long as there is sufficient space on the iPod.

 

cheers elvis, one more thing, if you have downloaded a movie to your laptop is it easy to convert to mp4 and does it take long?

 

It depends on what program you use to convert them, the file size, and what quality you want it converted at, high quality takes longer, lowest quality might make it a bit jumpy. It also depends on what you are converting from,. .wmv and .avi are.

I use a program called Total Video Player its really easy to use. But the free version only allows you to convert files of certain length I think its 20 mins max,.

yep ive just put 20 seris's of two and a half men on...And it was easy to convert too..

You'll find it hard enough to get one as they fly out the doors..But keep a eye on pc world as they are a apple reseller.and make sure you get the 3g(third generation) one as its 50% faster than the 2g(second generation)...

the only bad thing is you have to pay for alot of the applications such as the games.

any one every had any trouble with the apple store..

like when your on itunes and you go to the store it only loads half up on some things and it wont open.Like when you going i can get on the the finance part or the health and fitness applications but i cant get on to the games one.or only some of the music parts i can get on to too..

any one had a problem like this before..

 

Im not an expert Ron but what browser are you using?

 

its not on any browser....its on the itunes thing you download..

but usually i use mozilla

 

well then Im no good to ya Im afraid, when all else fails blame the browser(sometimes a particular browser can prevent stuff from loading)

I use Mozilla and have just oped itunes stores and the games loaded no bother, so sorry Ron, I aint got a clue
