I think it's irrelevant that the article was in that rag. Will this cause any hassle with the membership card thing? Those companies run the card system for match access.
After a chat between the mods about this it has been decided to let this run but do not mention what paper it came from as we don't want to given them cnuts any publicity. This thread is about the consequences (if any) of this with regards our ticket office only.
I would imagine we'll all have to get new cards if we're breaking away from the current software and system.Knowing the yanks we'll probably have to pay for the new card and all!
cant see them changing the system to quick with membership cards and season tickets i imagine it would take months
Would definitely take a fair while to phase them out alright Sean.Sure all the Membership cards and season tickets are operating with the Stadiacard and fortress GB technology so certainly cant be replaced overnight id imagine!
If it does have to be revamped and replaced it could throw the current system into total disorganisation. Any cost would absolutely have to be swallowed by the club though (even though it'll come from fans somewhere). If they can't use this system without the company, then it would have to be a paper ticket system coupled with online for a while I'd assume, and that being the case, I wonder is there a case for refund of that 29 quid charge?
I don't think so either, but if they charged for a service that isn't in operation after 4 games of the season, then it should be given. They have 3 weeks + before our next game though, and if it going to affect people drastically, it should be said fairly soon.
I'm sure the bloke has a contract, and we may be deciding not to use him anymore but there will be a phasing out period,dont worry lads we wont be left outside fo rthe Lyon and manc game, anyway I'm going to bed, whoever is going to Florence I'll be i the bar before we go through security from hopefully early afternoon, see you then.
Why should they refund £29? The membership will still be there! If anything changes it'll just be paper tickets instead of the card!
I'm assuming the membership charge was ostensibly to cover the charges that the new system incurred around the turnstyle scanners, card production, software, etc, when compared to prvious systems. My assumption may be all wrong, and it may be because the greedy yanks needed more revenue to plug the black hole they created, but that was my assumption.
