to be honest, the real birth of a legend was 2 weeks later in the home leg when he scored all FIVE goals.i can still remember that night as if it was yesterday, everyone knew who robbie fowler was after that. it was either that night or the night of the 1st leg he famously went down to his local chippy with his mates and just hung around on the corner after the game. some player!
I remember when he re-signed for the club. I had actually got tickets for the Birmingham game, had the flights and hotel booked then the added bonus that I would see the return of Robbie Fowler. The place was electric, the atmosphere outside leading up to the game was brilliant, it was all Fowler talk. I even bought a 'The 2nd Coming' Fowler t-shirt outside the ground with Fowler 9 on the back. When he was brought on near the end, the ovation he got must have brought a tear to his eye. Gave u goosebumps. He is adored at Anfield and rightfully so.
16 years ago! Hard to believe. Legend of the highest order. Surely no player will ever be as revered by reds as Robbie
What would we be like with him & Nando up front!!!!! Ill tell ya, unstoppable..... What a player this guy was in his prime.. magnificent!!!
my first ever game was when fowler blitzed the gunners with a 4 minute hat trick what a day , that judas **** will always be in gods shadow
Legend pure and simple. His very best days were between 1993 and 1997, after those years injuries took their toll. Brilliant memories of him smashing goals past the mancs and blue sh1te.
Shoving that dirty Manc t**t Neville off the ball for his second, the little dinky over Schmeichel's big fat bowl head!
Legend, my fav goal of his was the one against villa in the FA cup semi final when he flicked the ball over "the gaffer" and thumped it in the back of the net, pure genius, the most natural finisher Ive ever seen
Legend. When he first broke onto the scene it was a travesty that Liverpool did not win the league. Would love to go on the lash with him!!!
He's my all time favourite player...His a idol to me and id fcuking love to meet the guy.The day he was sold i was gutted. The day he resigned i was shaking in disbelief...
I had to fight back the tears when he signed for leeds. When we resigned him it was one of my happiest days ever in football. The fact that he was a success that season was brilliant also
the overhead kick agaist charlton on the last day of the treble season and sniffin the touchline agaist the blue shite make him unforgetable!
