    I just got a email about this new book.

    MICHAEL SHIELDS: MY STORY is the first-hand account of the Liverpool fan whose dream trip to a Champions League final in Istanbul turned into a nightmare.


    After watching his beloved Reds win the European Cup in 2005, Shields’ happiness turned to horror as he ended up behind bars convicted of an attack on a Bulgarian waiter that he did not commit.


    Now released and pardoned after more than four long years in prison, this book tells his untold story – of the battle to clear his name and the remarkable campaign staged by his family, friends and Liverpool Football Club to see justice done.

    About the Author:
    Greg O’Keeffe is the journalist from the Liverpool ECHO who has covered the case since the incident in 2005. Greg has been writing the book since January 2009 through regular meetings with Michael and his family.

    I got this in the post last week,I have not started to read it yet as MrsDub13 is reading it now.She thinks its very good.

    Got this book off Kelly Jones from here, and finished it the other day. Would really recommend it, brilliant read.

    Got it a couple of years ago and like Steve thought it was a very good book. So of it is shocking the way he was treated.
