Yeah I'd go with that, it won't be the end of the world if we go out but that team should be more than capable of winning. Will Agger be risked?

Cant see Agger been risked to be honest , but you never know he might get a few mins run out depending on how the game is going .....
Would love a good Carling cup run and hopefully one or two of our reserves will shine ...

Personally i would love to see Pacheco shine ..... but have been impressed with Ecclestone and Amoo in the reserves so far this season

    Amoo spearing Plessis riera

Hard to know what Rafa will do, don't think Babel will start as he might get one this weekend against Hull. The performance can't be any worse than the pathetic one at Spurs last season. Lets hope it a good performance and a win. For the likes of Degen, Spearing and Ngog its a chance to put in performance.

Here is a stab at the team

Cavalieri, Degen, Kyrgiakos, Ayala, Dossena, Amoo, Spearing, Plessis, Aurelio, Ngog, Vorinin.

I would think you'll see at least one first team defender to organise the defence and not throw 4 defenders in who haven't played together and who are short of first team action but you never know with Rafa. I would think at least one first team midfielder as well. After that, you might as well buy a lottery ticket as try to second guess the selection!

Imo there's no way Rafa will play both Spearing and Plessis together in the middle of the park ....

Daniel Agger could be included in Liverpool’s squad for tomorrow’s Carling Cup tie at Leeds.
The Danish international has been out all season following a back operation, but returned to full training last week.

Liverpool are expected to make several changes from the side that won 3-2 at West Ham on Saturday, with full-back Fabio Aurelio standing by for his first start of the season after a knee problem.

Liverpool provisional squad: Cavalieri, Degen, Agger, Kyrgiakos, Dossena, Aurelio, Riera, Spearing, Babel, Voronin, Ngog, Reina, Benayoun, Lucas, Plessis, Darby, Kelly ??, Eccleston, Ayala.

Surely Plessis misses this now for the red card he got last week.

this may sound daft and obviously it wont happen but i would like to see Torres play tomorrow 2night. Just maybe to score a couple of goals and get his confidence up.

I know its a bit stupid because of risk of injurys and all.

Im praying for a Ryan Babel start and a Ryan Babel goal. In many ways its the perfect came for Babel.

Not a chance, I dont think its a case of confidence, he can't be the man in every game. Two World class goals on Saturday. If that was any other player other than him or Stevie we would be creaming ourselves. We have come to expect such things from him now in every match. The Burnley game he was very effective in that two defenders occupied him all day and it let others run riot.

He deserves a night off and I am sure a few Leeds defenders would like to get a good boot at him.

A 38,000-strong full house is expected when the in-form Coca-Cola League One leaders host the Premier League giants in their Carling Cup third round tie.

Grayson’s side have an enviable home record, having racked up 15 consecutive home wins with the 4-1 triumph over Gillingham on Saturday.

Talking to a few Leeds fans and there well up for this ... its like there champions league ..
